Bye Bye Ari

Post by GaryEA » May 20th 2003, 5:48 pm

The man who has made watching White House press briefings akin to pulling my own teeth out with tweezers* for me is leaving his post this summer to make big bucks on the lecture circuit, write books, and most likely pop up on some news network when there's a crisis of some sort.

Why is he leaving? I don't know. Frankly, I could care less because I don't like his smug attitude when he's at the podium. Granted, that's not an easy job, but his leaving may get me to watch the damn briefings again.

So, so long Ari, take care, and thanks for your endless charm. [/sarcasm]

Good riddance. Now if the rest of them would just resign

I think we order three times as much coffee when he's on. Makes it tough to drive (hands trembling and all), but I've got to get through it somehow. :)

As for the rest of them... ditto. :D

One of my favorite quotes of his (or at least how I remember it):

"The problem with guns that are hidden is you can't see their smoke."

Way to talk down to the American public. Its offensive...
"Your imagination, like a child, will explode with unrestrained possibilities for adventure."

"The problem with guns that are hidden is you can't see their smoke."

I'm ready to help him pack his office now...

Sorry after checking with my Zionist Master I'm not allowed to say I'm happy that Ari is gone. Sorry for the false alarm! :D

You could have sex with me if you really want to help...I guess that's a "no"?

Heres one we can agree on.
I think I'm gonna faint...

And bring on Dennis Miller.

Reporter: "Mr. Miller! Mr. Miller! Will the president reconsider his position on taxes?"

Miller: "What? Are you f***ing kidding? He's the f***ing president..."

Then he starts cackling and adjusts his jacket.

I'd watch that every day. Tape it too.

I hate Dennis Miller with a passion. I use to enjoy him but he has gone soft.
