What TV shows on DVD do you already own?

MSCL may be gone from the tv screen, but there are lots of good (and bad) new productions airing each week. Talk with other MSCL fans about your favorite shows or the shows you hate. Of course you can also discuss TV show DVD releases here.

My latest purchases TV wise were Buffy 1 & 2, Osbournes season 1, Tomorrow People (UK show) Series 1, and Children of the Stones (UK show).

They use to show the Tomorrow People and Children of the Stones on Nickelodeon back in the early 80s. Children of the Stones was part of the program The Third Eye (if i am remembering correctly). They were two of my favorite childhood shows. I was so happy when i found out they were out or coming out on dvd, granted only region 2.
Hey,

Is one of those series the one where the kids run a newspaper after school and discover that aliens are on earth taking over people?

And the only tv show that I have an entire season of at this point is Buffy (yes season 1 AND 2!).

We only got our DVD player recently so we're building up our collection. So far we have 30 - only one shelf on our wall o' shelves. Slowly but surely - like every time we got to Price Club!

:D

Only four and a half months later, our DVD collection has doubled - it's almost embarrassing!

We now own Buffy S3, Angel S1, Simpsons S1 & S2, South Park S1, and all six discs of the best of Beavis and Butt-head. I am eagerly awaiting Buffy S4 & Angel S2!

Does the Ken Burns Civil War set count as a tv show?

I think you may be talking about Tomorrow People, but honestly I don't remember the newspaper bit, but the show is about aliens and the kids who protect the earth against them.

I haven't watched the DVD set yet so I don't fully remember much.

I now own:

MSCL
Once and Again: S1
Friends: S1 and S2
Coupling: S1 (britcom similar to friends, but better)

Will buy this summer:
Highlander: S1 and S2 for boyfriend's B-day

I still want:
Freaks and Geeks
Undeclared
Undergrads (animated series)
Gilmore Girls
Buffy (Eventually when I have the money I will buy them)
Osbournes
Party of Five
Beverly Hills 90210 (Every season that Shannon Doherty was in it)
Mission Hill (animated series)
Alias: S1 (will buy in September 2003)

So I will personally be picking up the individual discs for Season 1. Though, maybe they plan on waiting till the release all of Season 2 before making a S1 box...argh...i hate missing out on a box.
The release date for Will & Grace is now August 12th!

Available at http://www.shopNBC.com for $45

Yep, region 1 no less. I was referring to the region 2s in my original post before the R1 sets were announced.

I just received, courtesy of amazon.co.uk, brand spanking new Red Dwarf series I and II DVDs.

Bye bye old crapped out VHS tapes... bye bye rubbish sound quality!

Hello fabulous new slimline DVD set... hello massive range of phenomenal extras and never-before-seen footage, cast commentary and general hilarity...

:D

I am as happy as a pig in s**t. I haven't watched these for some time and it brings back soooo many good memories.

To anyone who has never seen RD, may I heartily recommend the first 4 series!
