It's not dead, it's only sleeping (I hope)!

1999 - that's a pathetic theme!

Post by Joanna » Mar 29th 2002, 7:59 pm

Well - these posts were added to the Forum back in 1999 - and if only you could see us now!? In the year I have been an active member of this site I have never seen the Forum as busy as it has been this past week (ok, the DVDS can answer for that - but it is great to see that there are still so many fans checking in with unwaning enthusiasm!) - just think, did Year Book get it right??? - you know, the theme for 2000 - just what it 'would be like'.....what was it like??? I don't know I was the exact age of the characters when the show first aired and am the same age as Claire Danes now. I read in a magazine that the best year of your life is supposed to be the age '25'.....so there is hope yet then?? :0) Just think of everything that has happened to all our lives since we first saw MSCL seven years ago - long time isn't it? Phew!

I just wanted to be evil here (    ) so I thought I'd dredge up an old (pessimistic) post for a chuckle. Following what SAB said in his New Years post, it is interesting to look back at all that has transpired here at MSCL.com in the last 12 months. One year ago, the DVD's were nothing more than an optimistic fantasy and a few names on a petition. Who would have thought we would all be clutching them in our hot little hands now....or ever for that matter? (Still waiting on that lunchbox though.) The member list has gone crazy here in the forum, so much so that SAB and crew had to go proactive on us and recruit NEW moderators to keep up with all the activity. And cheers to you, you eager souls who took the torch and ran with it as moderators. We can't thank you enough. We have a new forum; complete with working PM function and all. We have seen so many new members posting here, and sadly a few old ones who seem to have left. Come on back Y'all! The board lives on! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! :D
