Under A Microscope

Post by Nostradamus » Mar 29th 2003, 5:41 am

I'll be testing out the zoom on my new dvd player soon, so I was wondering if y'all could recommend some scenes with interesting visual details, or that have unidentified books, labels, posters, etc.

:?:

I'll let you know if I find anything cool. Thanks.

How about the book Graham takes from Patty in the bedroom (some racy romance novel) in Father Figures?

The ice cream Patty offers Angela in WJCR. I am curious what brand it is.

Those are the only two I can think of right now.

How about the certificates on the wall behind the principal when Graham is talking to him in the Substitute?

I'm pretty sure they aren't his degrees - probably certificates of merit or appreciation.

How about the container that Rayanne is eating out of in Angela's bedroom? The magnet on Brian's refrigerator? Any of the stuff scribbled on his kitchen calendar?

What does Rayanne hide behind her back when Patty comes into the kitchen the first time they meet in the "Pilot" episode?
TomSpeed

Patty: If Rayanne's not seeing you, and we're not seeing you, who is seeing you?
Graham: And how much of you?
Angela: Dad!
Graham: Oh, I'm sorry! I asked a question about your life, didn't I? Woah, what came over me?

It's a picture frame - I think we talked about this in the episode discussion thread.

Yeah, it was a frame, and I believe Rayanne was eating some fruity ice cream in Angela's bedroom. The other stuff sounds promising; will hopefully check soon.

My first find: Ministry of Silly Walks photo on Angela's mirror in Self Esteem!

I'll put re-reading the episode one discussion thread on my things to do list for tomorrow. Odds are I'll be too busy tomorrow to look at the forum though. I hate Mondays. They are usually too busy.

I love my job.

What about Rayanne's baseball cap?

There is a name (probably the artist's name?) on the bottom of the picture that is near the Chases' front door - you can see it pretty well in Self Esteem when Patty and Chuck are talking in the entryway.

This is your assignment, Nostradamus Holmes (any relation to John Holmes?)

I tried to get Rayanne's cap in Self Esteem, but it was a little too blurry. She had it in more than one episode, right?

I've been experiencing some video difficulties with the new player, so the research is going slower than I had hoped.

:?

Oh yeah, Brian's locker appears to have two pictures of sand dunes; not sure what's up with that...

She definitely wore that hat in more than one episode, but it might be hard to find a good shot where you can see the back of her head!

I know she wore it in the pilot - the scene where she sprays herself with perfume in the bathroom when she tells Angela that she can spend the night at her house.

I've wondered about the tie-dye shirt that Angela wears to Rayanne's party in Other Peoples Mothers. I think i've seen a rose on it. It looks a lot like a Greatful Dead shirt to me, which would be interesting since Angela doesn't listen to the dead.

It's the same shirt that Rayanne wears the day after the Dead concert in Father Figures.
