Avatars

Post by TomSpeed » Feb 13th 2003, 10:19 pm

Well, during a gruelling day at work (yea, right...), I managed to find a cleaner picture of a racecar Monopoly token to use as my avatar. I kind of liked the old one I used. But, the red outline around the racecar troubled me a bit. The picture I'm using as my avatar now is a little bigger and the racecar is pointing off-center. It's actually a picture of a statue of the racecar token (basically a big racecar token you can pay $20 for). Anyway, yea or nay on the new avatar?

Also, I don't know if there is a discussion thread on avatars and why we chose them/what they mean to us. I guess the reason why I use the racecar is pretty obvious, I love playing Monopoly and am in charge of running Monopoly tourneys (and tourneys for other games as well) on online gaming ladders. It's a voluntary thing or labor of love. Anyway, if you would like to share something about your avatar, feel free.

There are already a heap o' stories in the avatar backstories thread.

Wow, I didn't realize that your avatar was a monopoly car all this time - the new picture looks great.

I, too, like the new avatar.

I told the story of my avatar in the thread candygirl mentioned.

Might as well move my old "Avatar Backstories" thread over there too...

I'm easily distracted by shiny objects. :D

Thanks, guys, for your comments.

Very much like the new avatar Tom, nice and clean. :)

I don't know if I ever wrote in the avatar backstory thread.

Anyway mine is pretty self explanatory, though I will be changing it soon, its time has come to move into the avatar graveyard on the big harddrive in the sky.

When the forum ate my original avatar I had to go and find a new one. If you hadn't guessed my new pic. is of me and Ross. (Guess which one is R.R. )
