I watched the 1st episode last night, and it seems kinda like MSCL meets Melrose Place. You know, really soapy but in a realistic sort of way. Does that make any sense?

Yeah, well I will have to watch the next episode to make an opinion. But right now I can say that I really like the Dirty Dancing seen...

I didn't see the show, but I was just curious... Why "Wasteland" ?
What are they trying to say with this title? I was just thinking that
some of the titles of recent shows seem sadly uncreative. "Freaks
and geeks" has got to be the most inane name for a show I've heard
in years. And "Wasteland" makes it sound like life is just unbearably
horrible for people in their 20s... Are the characters on the show just
on the verge of slitting their wrists? Sorry, but it just sounds like a
terrible name for a show (maybe for sci-fi, but an adult drama?).
