I remember Get A Life. The ep where he was trying to set a record for having the most stuff/weight piled on him was a riot. And Cabin Boy was a classic. You gotta love stupid humor!!!!!!!!! :D

Of course I mean the Chris Elliott sitcom :) . A great show.

Now don't be dissing Cabin Boy, it has a fairly large cult following. Actually I enjoyed Cabin Boy only for Andy Richter. His performance is great in it.
Man, I didn't even know Get a Life had enough of a following to come out on DVD.

Don't mean to diss Cabin Boy, but the pain of spending a full $6 (Cdn: if you're American, that's <$4 U.S.) last week on the DVD is still fresh in my mind. It was on sale at MusicWorld, so I thought, "What the heck, for $6, widescreen to boot," and home I went. It started off promisingly at the prep school, but quickly went downhill. You're right about the cameos, Andy Richter and David Letterman were funny (was that the sock monkey?), and I could swear that I recognize some of his shipmates. My wife and I just stopped watching after he fell off the crow's nest. It definitely had a few moments, though, like when Chris Elliot was dancing as everyone else was throwing things at him, or prodding him with a stick.

Did I just write more than ten lines about Cabin Boy? :?

"And when I return...I shall be a Cabin Man."

"Wanna buy a monkey?"

Yeah, it was bad, but I always remember those 2 lines for some reason.

"Wanna buy a monkey?"

The best line ever! And I loved how Dave said that every night for months.

That was almost as funny as Norm MacDonald's "Uh...got any gum?"

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had fabulous holidays :D

I managed to do quite well on the DVD front this year:

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
The Best of Bowie
Traffic
My Best Friend's Wedding

And then, I went to Camden market and saw the Two Towers pirate DVD but I was good and resisted. It had no extras and doubtless it would have been rubbish quality... I will wait for the proper release like a good citizen.

I bought the Terminator 2 special edition DVD for my brother, and he loves it. :)

Yes the are making another Terminator movie, go here for the MSCL official post

So was that the boxset of the Will and Grace, or the individual dvds seperate? I know there is a R2 boxset of series/season 1 coming out int he UK but I had heard it was pushed back to March, though I know that the individual ones are already out.

Please let me know, and if you know where whoever got it for you got it that would make it even better :)

Thanks

Well, I bought the first two DVD's of series one last month and I was given this single DVD to complete the first series.

The website given on the DVD to view further infomation of releases is http://www.medusastores.com although the site isn't operational. If you want I can ask a friend of mine who works at Borders (which is where I bought my first two Will & Grace DVD's) for infomation regarding the box set, and other future releases and let you know?

Hey all,

My major economic outlay for the moment will Babylon 5: Second Season due out 4/29. That's going to be it on the DVD front for a while.

Best.

*sigh* I must now confess that I bought Somewhere in Time this weekend. I'm such a sap! I was so jealous when a friend of mine told me he visited Mackinac Island when he was a kid. To balance that out, I bought the Usual Suspects (which my boyfriend has never seen):D And I got the Great Escape (which I have never seen) for my boyfriend - manly but funny, right?

True but there are some good episodes there. Remember Anya in the Bunny Rabbit costume?

Hee! Okay, you got me there. And Something Blue? And Spike trying to bite Willow in the Initiative? Okay maybe S4 wasn't THAT bad. It's still my least favorite though.

To me, S4 will always be "Giles with a chainsaw" -- Classic! :D

Let us know what you think of Great Escape.
