Why I stopped watching MSCL

Post by fnordboy » Nov 25th 2002, 6:01 pm

I am now hooked on Spaced. What an amazing show this is. I am halfway through Series 2 and I don't want it to end.

I've noticed a few people on this board mention it before but never really took an interest in it, but my sister came home from the UK for a week and brought her dvds with her so i could check it out. Fell in love with it after the first episode. Amazing stuff.

Everyone should check it out! Though it is only available on Region 2 PAL format DVDs (for now hopefully).

Anybody else fall in love with this show too?

TV-wise, not much. Simpsons, Futurama, the occasional Will and Grace, Law and Order, Sopranos, Six Feet Under. I can't stomach the majority of tv on nowadays.

Yeah i know, sucks that it is virtually unknown here in america. Thanks for the link, but i had already found the site the other night.

This is a show that needs to be brought over here. I read on the site that Bravo has the rights to show it but showed all of 2 episodes only and not even in order (wtf?). I would've liked a R1 release at least (not that the R2s arent great, just that i cant get more people i know addicted to it).

It is just so witty and intelligent, and US TV could learn a lot from it. And it doesnt fall into the standard american idea of "british comedy". It would do great here IMO.

YAY!! 'Spaced' talk! I love this show as well - check out my little 'quote'! :D This is the first time I've heard anyone besides me and Zero mention it. I was lucky enough to view a borrowed tape from an English co-worker and was immediately hooked. I REALLY love the faux-fighting scenes they have - HOW FUNNY IS THAT!! And the silly little lines..."Are you ready?" "I was BORN ready." Yes. But are you ready NOW?"

I smell another dvd project - as long as AU stays the hell away from it, hu??
"Oh, just say the word and she's a footnote in history. I'll make it look like a painful accident..."

I need to order the DVDs since my sister went back over to the UK. I loved it. Zero (if you read this) is Series 3 on the air yet? I don't know how i can wait till the next one comes on dvd.

It is such a great show.

I also just got into The Office, another great one. I ordered it blindly on Calhoun's suggestion (i think it was him). Amazing show. Funny as hell. Highly rec that one if you haven't seen it yet Ricky.

As far as your quote/sig goes as soon as Daisy said it I was like "That's Ricky Love's sig!"

One day i will get to finish the MSCL set lol
