Forum modifications

Post by Sascha » Nov 8th 2002, 9:23 am

I'll make a few changes to the forum today. Mostly cosmetic stuff and some small new features. I hope I won't break anything - if you notice some strange behaviour, just tell me.

Looking good - that new feature telling how many new posts/topics and when it was last posted to is SO useful.

Thanks :D

This is truly the best managed forum I have ever come across.

I also added two new "hacks": You can now enter your gender and birthday in your profile. It will then be displayed below your avatar (e.g. you can see my age to your left)

Note: Most of the new features only get displayed when you use the english language template (selected in your profile). Other languages may not work perfectly yet.

Ah, right, I used the European date format. :-) But I switched it now to the "Month-Day-Year"-Format. Try entering your birthday again.

Sascha,

Really like the additions. I like being able to see which posts have posted today and the number of new topics.

Keep up the great work.

Sascha,
Am I totaly losing my mind or did the user profiles at one time have a listing of "Last Post" to show the last time someone made an entry in the forum? Am I just not seeing them anymore? Please help me

Just noticed the three member birthdays coming up. What happens when those dates arrive? Confetti, streamers, noisemakers? Do our avatars get to wear those pointy hats? :D

Sorry to disappoint you, but nothing will happen. :-) Maybe I'll add something sometime...
