be a do-gooder

I'll bet that all of you use a search engine at some time during your forays onto the Internet. Well, here's your chance to raise a little money for Make-A-Wish while you're exploring. Beginning Nov. 7, dogpile.com will make a donation to M-A-W each time their search engine is used. Pretty painless, huh? So tell your friends and start searching!

Heh, I just used that search engine to find the Ladies of Liberty calendar page -- They're smart, they're sexy, and they're free-market capitalists! Talk about making a wish... (trails off into mindless drooling and slobbering)

  :P

Ah...be still my free-market, capitalistic, right-wing, gun fanatic heart! Doing my best Joey Impression "So how you doin?"

You guys are hilarious!

I always love seeing Phoebe's reaction to "How YOU doin'?"

:D

Now in the name of charity you can do dogpile searches for the first NFL cheerleaders lingerie calendar and still feel really good about yourself!

Well, it'd probably get you slapped, but you could try the more direct, "Hey baby, may I sniff your Swiss Bank account?" :o

Yes, searching for softcore porn while raising money for charity does warm my heart so. If only it were on company time, it'd be perfect! :D

You would be surprised at what you can get away with saying without getting slapped - my friend asked a girl, "Can I play with your thingies?" (complete with Butt-head voice) and not only did she NOT slap him, she let him!

Wow! Is your friend Keanu Reeves? Or was the girl's hearing imaired by beer-muffs?

As an experiment in bad taste, my best friend, who is not Keanu Reeves, but not an unattractive man either, actually used this line: "May I sniff your bicycle seat?"

He was promptly struck with a hairbrush. I rest my case. :P

BTW, here is a nifty list of common internet slang acronyms I found with candygirl's charity meta-search thingy. They seem obvious now, but I could have saved a lot of confusion with something like this when I first joined the forum.

Actually, no - he is nowhere near Keanu Reeves on any plain. He's a lot smarter (in most things). Then again, he was smart enough to pose the question to someone who didn't take offense at it so maybe I shouldn't think he was stupid for doing it!

This other guy I knew in college didn't actually ask to sniff a girl's bicycle seat - he just did it! There was a dorm organized ride into the mountains and when they stopped at a lookout point, he waited until she went to take pictures of the view and then took it upon himself to sniff away. He never lived that down!

I could be really, REALLY crude right here but this is a clean forum so I'll refrain. Candygirl, you have wild friends it sounds like.

I referred to some of these boys as jackasses for the duration of college (before the term meant someone who snaps mousetraps shut on his own nipples). It's amazing what a little alcohol and even less tact/social skills can add up to!
