Danton Stone on Oz (1998-2000)

Post by Natasha (candygirl) » Jan 20th 2003, 3:21 am

I am watching Season 2 of Oz (I don't HBO so I have to wait until shows like Oz and Six Feet Under are released on DVD) and who should I see but Uncle Neil?! The first few seconds I saw him, I had that familiar feeling, "Hey I know that guy..." but couldn't quite place him. He was playing a District Attorney.

Apparently he has also appeared on the Sopranos, Ed, Once and Again, Law & Order: SVU, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and Sex and the City.

I know that I saw the Sopranos episode he was in, but I don't remember seeing him

Yeah, that particular episode of Sex and the City aired last week here in the UK. He didn't have many lines which is a shame - but he was most definitely there hovering around Carrie with a pleased look upon his face.

PS: Nothing to do with the above but I got a job today!!! Hurrah!

Cool! Is it screenwriting? Do we get to watch your work? :D

I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.

The circle of life - Uncle Neil was on Oz with Terry Kinney (Tim McManus) who is a co-founder of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company where Tom Irwin is a member!

Hi Nostradamus -

What a memory! Sadly no, my new job isn't screenwriting. Just a regular 9 -5 type job that will have me interacting with all kinds of people; that in itself will aid my writing I'm sure.

Have we had a thread where we've talked about what we 'do' before???

No, I don't think we have...

Should one be started up? I'd be interested to hear what you all do for a living... :)

I am slowly killing myself in the corporate world. :(

I'm negotiating and drafting research agreements for a top UK university. I deal with Intellectual Property and trying to reach a fair arrangement with people from companies and government departments (including overseas) who want to pay the costs of research. Lots of beaurocracy which drives me up the wall...

Huh! I was sure we had a "What do we do?" thread, but I just skimmed Off Topic and didn't see one, so I guess I'll start it over there... <rolls sleeves up>
