song used during MTV promos

Hello all,
I am looking for the name of a song. When MTV aired the rerun episodes of MSCL, they played a song during the preview commercial. These were the commercials that previewed scened for the upcoming episodes. I don't believe the song was ever in any of the actual episodes and I did not see in on the soundtrack. It was a pretty popular rock song from the mid 90's. They still play on the radio every now and then but I never caught the name of the song or the artist that sings it. Any help would be appreciated.
