I was watching the Golden Girls this afternoon (it is one of the funniest programmes ever!! ) and in one of the scenes there was a bizarre reference to a certain member of the MSCL crew.....

Picture it, the golden girls kitchen, 1988 (as Sophia would say!)

Rose walks in: "Hi Girls, your never going to guess who I just met.....
Mr Terrific!"

Blanche: "I thought I met Mr terrific once, but it turned out he had a Mrs
Terrific too"

Rose : "No, I mean Mr Terrific, the guy from TV, you know the one who
wears that skin-tight lycra jumpsuit with the mask and the cape?"

(Rose shows Blanche a picture)

Blanche : "I know that suit - are you sure he isn't an insurance broker
named Marshall Herskovitz?"

Ha ha ha!

Well, I thought it was a bit of a strange coincidence....made me smile too!

hahahahahahahaha, I Love The Golden Girls, And I Love the fact that you said "picture this..."

This made me laugh so hard that I had to ask Josh, Marshall's assistant, what the deal was. Here is his response:

According to Marshall, it was intentional. Apparently he had a friend on the writing staff who thought it would be funny.

I used to love watching the show back in the day, but I don't know if I would have caught that reference, Pedro, so thanks for bringing it to our attention. And danguyf, thanks for going straight to the source to find out the real deal.

Wow, funny that the Golden Girls were mentioned here because that's tied for top spot with MSCL for "My Favourite Show!" Though there may be a reference to MSCL, it wasn't about the show itself because MSCL started after the Golden Girls ended (1992).

See above - it wasn't about the show per se, but it was about Marshall Herskovitz who, in turn, is connected with the show.
