Tom Irwin in Pyrenees (2006)

Post by Jody Barsch* » Jun 26th 2006, 9:51 am

The US premier of the play Pyrenees starring the fabulous Tom Irwin and Frances Conroy (the mother on Six Feet Under) is coming to the Kirk Douglas Theater in Culver City! I'm totally going to be there!

Also, after multiple V. Mars reiterations, and finally a Deadwood movie, still wishing for some continuation of The Riches !

I had a lot of free time this past week (work starts next week! Ahh!) so I went to see Pyrenees yesterday. The play is excellent. It was funny hearing Tom with a British accent =) There are only four people in the play and it is cast very well (Tessa Thompson was excellent...not to mention gorgeous...I'm jealous!), and I love David Greig's writing. I highly recommend it to anyone in the L.A. area who has time to see it.

Oh, I also have to add that I still have a big crush on Tom Irwin...and he wasn't even Graham in this play. Ahhh. So embarrassing

I went Sunday night to the closing performance. I liked it mildly as a whole, but there were some very great lines and moments. I would have liked to have seen Frances Conrory in it more, but it was cool seeing her at all. I totally hear you on that one AnniAnnika - Tom Irwin, even with the weight of age and the silly accent, is still a mighty sexy man. I'm glad I went. I'd never been to that theater before, although I've been to several performances at the Actor's Gang theater just down the street from it, it was cool. MSCL got only a tiny little mention at the end of Tom's lengthy bio.
