According to www.movieweb.com, Wilson Cruz has landed a role in New Line feature "He's Just Not That Into You", starring Drew Barrymore. The movie is scheduled for an August 2008 release.
Based on the best-selling book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.

The Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story arcs deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior. Jennifer Connelly plays a woman stuck in a tired marriage with Cooper's character. Kevin Connolly, meanwhile, is a man pining after a woman, still not cast, who is having an affair with Cooper.

Just saw the trailer tonight. (Never heard of this movie before) Thankfully no one was around because I promptly yelled "Rickie!"
I know, I'm a nerd but I'm glad to see him in more roles.

Side note: Saw The Family Stone recently which prompted me to rent Romeo + Juliet. Because my mother wanted to see a movie as well, I ended up with a strange haul of Baby Momma (my mother's), Romeo + Juliet, and Green Street Hooligans.

The new release date is now February 6, 2009.

I really didn't like this book, but I'm excited to see what role Wilson Cruz will have in the movie.

Anyone seen any other movies with Wilson Cruz in them? Coffee Date, for example?
And know where I can find them? How 'bout Devon Gummersall?

There is a discussion thread about Coffee Date here and you can find information about Devon Gummersall's non- MSCL projects here.

Many of their movies can be found on Amazon, Netflix, etc.

Just watched the Trailer for this movie on YouTube.
This looks awesome, it's got Rickie from MSCL AND
Margene from Big Love (Ginnifer Goodwin)- 2 of my favorite
all time shows!

I didn't like how it he had the typical effeminate gay role.
It didn't do him justice. What was so wonderful about the character Rickie,
and his performance of it was that he was just a normal teenager who happened
to have issues with fitting in because he was gay, but he wasn't over the top
flamboyant and it wasn't used as to inspire chuckles...it was about identity and growing up.
It's unfair that those are the only roles he gets as an adult actor.
He was also in the deleted scenes for "House of D" as a similar character.

I agree with you Cami A. I was so caught up with seeing him on screen I didn't realize that they put him in one of those stereotypical effiminant (sp?) roles. When he was in Party of Five in the later years for a while his character I believe wasn't as flamboyant like the way they showed him in HJNTIY. I also agree that the beauty of Rickie's character was they didn't flaunt his gayness yet he was just a teenager trying to find his place in life. That's why I LOVE MSCL! :)
