Claire Danes is currently shooting Shopgirl. She stars as the leading character Mirabelle in the adaptation of Steve Martin's novella. Martin himself is playing the rich and older lover of the unsatisfied sales girl.

Maura from "It's All About Claire" has first pictures from the set. Doesn't she look like Angela again?

Thanks for posting those pictures - thank goodness they finally began filming last week (Steve Martin was busy filming Cheaper by the Dozen and Picasso at the Lapin Agile)!

Hm, I somehow pictured Mirabelle a bit different in my mind - she looks too self-confident in those images (although the 2nd image comes pretty close). On the other hand it probably depends which part of the film they were shooting when these images were taken. Mirabelle has a lot more self-confidence in the last chapters of the book.

Man, these shoes are really ugly...
