According to the Internet Movie Database, http://us.imdb.com/Title?0280760 , the movie has an official Website, http://www.mgm.com/ua/igbygoesdown/ , where it says that the movie will be in New York in L.A. on 9/13 and in select theaters on 9/20. Claire's character, Sookie, is sporting blond hair and you can check her out in the Photo Gallery.

It looks really good. I'll definately check it out. Claire Danes also has a small part in a movie called The Hours where she plays Meryl Streep's daughter. That looks good too.

The list of actors is very impressive. Looking at the photo gallery, I think that my love-hate relationship with Ryan Phillipe is on the love side. Yum.

I am really looking forward to seeing Igby Goes Down. The movie hasn't come out yet in Cleveland and I was wondering if anyone has gotten a chance to see it yet. If you have, how was it? Is it worth seeing (even if it does have Claire in it)? Thanx a bunch!

This movie is a must see. Claire is great in this movie. Very cool movie and not a typical hollywood ending. The movie is a very depressing, but also very interesting. I don't want to spoil anything in the movie for anyone so I'll leave out my favorite parts. The music was really good too. This movie just came to pittsburgh october 5th.

It was a great movie. Claire was very good and certainly the best movie she's appeared in. And she looked great with that curly blonde hair. And Jeff Goldblum was actually excellent. It reminded me of Ghost World from the male's perspective.

I hate to promote piracy (no I don't:p) but since most of us are in areas where Igby Goes Down is not being shown, well it's available for download on Kazaa. That's how I saw it. Even though the picture quality isn't great and there are foreign subtitles, the movie is so good that after a while you don't notice. It must be amazing on the big screen. Kieran Caulkan and Claire Danes are excellent and Susan Sarandon is hilarious. It's a very funny and sad film and I highly recommend seeing it any way that you can.

Thanx for this info. I never did get a chance to see this in theaters, probably because it wasn't in wide release, so it's nice to know what I have to look forward to in just a few months. When Claire was doing the promotional tour for this movie, she really seemed happy with her work in it and I've heard only good things, so it will be sweet to see the movie as well as the extras in one package.

Release date - Canada?

We were really looking forward to seeing this movie. That veggie movie :?: opened the week Igby went into wider release so we were really hopeful .... we then watched as every other [crap] movie released this fall hit the theatres but I guess this town (the capital) just wasn't bright enough for an intelligent film.

Does anyone know if release dates differ from country to country? We're in Canada and I'm wondering if it will come out here at the same time or will it be delayed a few months?
