3 Days of the Condor

Post by lance » Feb 9th 2005, 12:29 pm

One of the scariest movies I ever saw was 3 Days of the Condor.

Starring Robert Redford, this movie was based on events occurring during the 1970s when US intelligence agencies rountinely conducted operations against peaceful political opponents of Nixon. Events which the Church comission tried to clear up.

Well guess what, here we go again.

See here:

"This week, former military intelligence analyst William Arkin revealed a hitherto unknown directive, with the Orwellian name "JCS Conplan 0300-97," authorizing the Pentagon to employ special, ultra-secret "anti-terrorist" military units on American soil for what the author claims are "extra-legal missions."

and...

"Equally worrying, the Pentagon's new special-ops units are headed up by notorious religious fanatic, Lt. Gen. William Boykin, who calls the U.S. Army "the house of God" and Islamic insurgents "agents of Satan." He warned Muslims, "my God is bigger than your god, which is an idol."
