Spreading Santorum

My friend works at a newspaper which Dan Savage works at. Dan's a gay sex columnist for the paper, and has taken it upon himself to get back at Senator Santorum for his remarks equating sodomy with "incest, bigamy, adultery, and "man-on-dog" sex."

So, in Dan's nationally published column, he decided to define santorum as a fairly gross thing. You can read on the site what he decided on (No pictures, but the idea and text is not safe for work):

While the effort itself is childish, its pretty interesting to have a friend work to set up the site, while getting feedback from me. (I suggested the little splatters between the letters). Apparently this usage of santorum is getting around.

I love Dan! If you don't have a local paper that carries his column, you can read the archives here.

Finally, some lighter political discussion. Thanks for bringing this to our attention andrewgd. Santorum is such a great addition to language. Not only does it bring satisfying petty revenge against a senator so offensive he could be in line to be the next Strom Thurmond but it's also a fun way to refer to one of life's not so pleasant surprises. I guess I've missed all of the santorum talk though I do enjoy Dan Savage's column. I haven't been following regularly since I moved about a year ago and my new home city doesn't have a paper that carries his column and somehow I usually forget to check it out online. Thanks for the archive link candygirl but it wouldn't work for me I think it's a problem with my browser settings (as I had the same problem earlier), hopefully it will just fix itself because I doubt I know what to do about it.

Andrewgd,

Thanks for the link. Childish yes, but also enjoyable. If ever there was a public figure deserving of light mocking and ridicule for making outlandish public statements, look no further than Rick Santorum.
