What are Lifer's watching these days?

MSCL may be gone from the tv screen, but there are lots of good (and bad) new productions airing each week. Talk with other MSCL fans about your favorite shows or the shows you hate. Of course you can also discuss TV show DVD releases here.

Freaks and Geeks was great! As for current (and hopefully future...) shows, my absolute favorite is "Gilmore Girls" on WB. I love Rory Gilmore!

I'm about a year late for this one, but I feel like answering it anyway :)

Buffy and that kind of stuff seems totally cool, but when I watch it I notice I'm looking forward to the commercials. I don't know why. On broadcast TV, all I could really get interested in was Simpsons, Ally McBeal, and The X-Files. So Ally and The X-Files ended. Ugh.

But I found and love Six Feet Under on HBO and Queer as Folk on Showtime. Six Feet Under just takes an episode or two and you start to watch it religiously. It's just plain good. To get involved in Queer as Folk, you have to realize that it isn't gay porn. That can take a few minutes. But it's worth it; it's a great show.

Has anyone seen the movie "Foxfire"? I saw it a long time ago and I just bought it on DVD, and it can still make me tear up. I don't know; it just seems like something people around here might like.

Anyone else gonna watch 'Everwood' this fall? I think the show sounds pretty good, some people who were involved in MSCL are doing stuff for it, plus it's got my favourite actor in it: Gregory Smith. :D

Ya'll oughta check out "Monk" Friday nights on the USA network. Starring Tony Shaloub (Wings, The Siege, etc.) as a neurotic, modern day Sherlock Holmes, this new comedy-mystery is really worth a try. Just remember to wash your hands after you touch that filthy, germ-infested remote, and fix the pillows on your sofa--they're crooked!

Yeah, one of the great shows that went way too early.

Hah! I *knew* Gilmore Girls were mentioned on this board somewhere :-)

Anybody else watching "Gilmore Girls"? I'm somehow recently addicted to that show - it's not the best thing ever happened to tv, but still... I can't get enough of it. (And I'll tell ya, getting these episodes over here in "we dub everything"-Germany is quite difficult. I really need a DSL line...)

Next week I'll get the chance to check out the new (well, not new for you US-guys ;-) ) show "Everwood". Trailer looks good, though very soapy.

Yup Sascha, I've been watchin Gilmore Girls since the beginning...

As for other shows:

Firefly and Buffy - love Joss's writing

Smallville - try watchin a bunch of smallville and then watch the Spiderman movie. The movie will seem shallow and trite in comparison. And besides I think Chloe is a hottie!

The Shield - Second season starts on the 7th on FX

Monster Garage - Jessie is my new Hero!

Law and Order - Sam and Fred opposite each other, liberal vs. conservative... its great!

Shows I can't make up my mind on:

Odyssey 5
Jeremiah - J. Michael is a great story teller... Love to see him Joss and M Night do a mini-ser together.
John Doe

I am still watching Angel, Ed, and Boston Public. I do like American Dreams. It is way cheesy and I love it. As far as mid-season starts, I am looking forward to High-School reunion and Joe Millionaire. I wish Witchblade was coming back and I have tried to keep up with RealWorld L.V. on weekends. And SAB, Everwood did look pretty good from what I saw on the trailer, but I am choosing to not get sucked into another show. I don't have enough viewing time as it is.

Life with Bonnie and Alias are shows that the week revolves around.

My wife and I both like Ed and Gilmore Girls if we're around when they're on.

And we both miss Undeclared and Freaks and Geeks.

I love Gilmore Girls and Smallville. Gilmore GIrls was better in the beginning, but it is still a decent show. I absolutely love Smallville. Love Lex. Love Clark. Love Pete. Love Chloe. Could do without Lana.

Monk is funny, b/c I suffer from OCD, as well. Always makes me laugh.

Sex and The City is definitely the best show on Tv nowadays, it wins HANDS DOWN! I also love The Real World and OZ, although they show it really late over here in England (black shows are always put on really late). I really don't get this Buffy thing either, I find it kinda boring.. and I really HATE Dawson's Creek!!!!!!!!
