I know that some people don't like the excessive snark at TWoP, but I found this week's recaplet so funny:

Subject: Re: RE: Re: RE: Oh, *that* Donald Sutherland movie

Faith-

How are you? I am fine. Sorry for not writing sooner but stop forwarding me spam about Viagra. Ha ha okay? Please stop.

I did get out of the office like you suggested. Not a vacation though. Just another scavenger hunt through the alleys: demons and dead bodies. Nice to get away from the desk though and I met this guy. He was our mailman but he threw me through a window and he used to be a wrestler and a ch^H^H hero. He and his four brothers used to fight evil. Then the brothers got killed fighting this Aztec demon.

Remind me to look into pension plans.

The demon came back looking for the hearts of pure heroes, but me and the wrestle-guy were too bitter for him. You make fun of me for brooding but it saved my life this time so lay off. The guy was trying to get the demon to kill him but then there were wrestling ghosts and I'm not sure I understand it but everything worked out.

Since you asked: you-know-who just won't you-know-what. Stop laughing; you don't have to live with it. Now he's sniffing around my prophecies. Don't tell her I said this but just between you and me, even with almost sending the world to hell I'm still the best boyfriend Buffy ever had. No wonder she never got over me.

She hasn't gotten over me right?

Plus I got impaled again. I've forgotten how much that stings.

Tell Buffy and the gang that I said hi. Don't let on that anything's wrong till we figure it out.

-A.

P.S. This will sound strange but have you ever really liked a piece of jewelry? REALLY liked it? Just wondering.

Hey all,

I just finished watching Wednesday's Angel episode. I missed part of the sound about half way through. We had a huge wind storm that barreled through. I am still cleaning up the tree branches.

So what did you think?

I was encouraged by the episode. Combined with last week's I feel that Angel is back on track. No more aimless drifting that we experienced from the first five episodes.

Yeah, 'twas good to see another character-driven plot, and questions left open at the end. Were the cyborgs good or evil? What did they want with Angel? How did they gain access to the Watcher files? And perhaps most importantly, will they be back?

From www.charisma-carpenter.com:
11-15-03 It's official. Charisma Carpenter will be reprising her role as Cordelia Chase in the 100th Episode of Angel. We ask that everyone watch the show in order to get a spike in the ratings to show them what kind of audience she has.
I think the last episode was quite good. I've said it before, more Wes and Fred is a damn good thing. I see signs of hope.

That was good news spoiled above. Its what the show needs.

I missed a couple of episodes of Angel so i've been reading the TWoP recaps and the keep using the term MoG to describe the group and I have no idea what it means. Can someone help me out? It's probably really obvious as most of these terms are but i'm drawing a blank. I already searched for its meaning but had no luck.

From the TWoP AtS FAQ (that's a lot of acronyms!):
Question:
What does "MoG" mean?

Answer:
It's short for "Ministers of Grace," and is a collective term for Angel's sidekicks, which I came up with when I got tired of typing out everyone's name. It comes from Hamlet, I, iv, 20: "Angels and ministers of grace defend us!"
Strega has used the term MoG for a long time - I don't remember exactly when she started though.

Thanks Candygirl, I'm not sure how I missed that FAQ section. My best guess wasn't even close (well I got "of" right). That'll be a useful link I've added it to my bookmarks right beside 'Internet Acronyms Dictionary' (which I also learned about through MSCL.com. I'd be even more lost online without this site). :D

Don't worry - sometimes you just have to know the right place to look for things. And bookmarks rule! I have no idea what I did for resources before the internet. I can imagine our grandkids watching old movies where the characters have to look things up in books and hearing, "Did people really do that? Why didn't they just do a google search?"

An update:
NO ONE WANTS ANGEL'S CAR

"Angel" star David Boreanaz has discovered he's not as popular as he thinks he is, after failing to find a buyer for his Mercedes car on auction Website eBay.
The one-time "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star thought he'd sell his top-of-the-range Mercedes on the Internet last month, but no one is interested in the $78,000 asking price.

Boreanaz even offered to personally deliver the car, and spend a day with the buyer.

There's an effort underway to celebrate Angel's upcoming 100th episode by placing a congratulatory ad in the Hollywood Reporter. The Support Angel site is a co-sponsor of this campaign. If you can spare a bit of money to donate, or even if you *don't* have any spare cash (hey, we all know how that is!) but can help promote the effort, please visit the Angel Thank You Campaign site (run by Angel's Soul Spoiler Board poster crumpet).

For a bit of additional information, here's crumpet's post from the ASSB today, announcing the site:
For those of you who've been wondering about the effort to place an ANGEL ad in the Hollywood Reporter - it's on! (FYI: this is a campaign sponsored by posters at the ASSB to place an ad honoring the entire cast & crew of ANGEL)

You can now visit the campaign website at http://www.thejunkbox.com/angelthankyou

We're in the process of getting a price quote from the Hollywood Reporter, but needless to say this is going to require a lot of contributions. In addition to donations, we'd appreciate link-backs (if you don't have a web site or weblog, link-backs in msg board sigs are also cool), mentions on other boards, anything you can do to get the word out. We're estimating that the full amount must be raised by the end of January - closer than you think!

AnGeL X has been kind enough to allow me to post weekly updates about the campaign here, so that you guys can follow our progress.

Thanks bunches to everyone who supported this idea from the very beginning and all the folks (Chasa, Simon, veggie, Lucinda, gretch and others) who gave me feedback about the site.

Thanks for the info Candy.

Given the pattern of Angel Region One releases, I would expect that we would see a Region One release in September of 2004.
