I have no idea what you're talking about.

This is probably not the time to mention that I already have pants like that but without pockets?

This week's TWoP poll

Buffy's about to end for good, and I'd like to have seen the First Evil take the form of:

Liberace - 25%

Elvis - 18%

Notorious B.I.G. - 13%

Rasputin - 9%

Jim Morrison - 7%

Queen Victoria - 6%

John Belushi - 6%

Marilyn Monroe - 5%

James Dean - 5%

Virginia Woolf - 5%

A good interview with Joss here

Three hours before the last episode airs and I'm still in denial...

Ok... so its all over and I have to say that I liked it except for the very end. The special effects weren't great (ok so I'm spoiled by the Matrix). Woods "surprise" was too predictable. And the lines outside the bus sucked.

But the line that made it all worth it was Willow saying:
Its a total loss of control and not in a good wholesome, my girlfriend has a pierced tongue sorta way!
And then to have Dawn get it a few seconds later was classic Joss! :D

Sorry, but given my screen name and all, I just had to...

Anyways, I watched the last 15-20 mins of it and was thoroughly disappointed. Granted I didnt know who 75% of the people on screen were, but all in all I thought it was pretty weak.

And SMG looked horrid. Worse than usual. She has lost waaaay too much weight.

You know why else SMG looked terrible? Her eyebrows. They used to be darker - now they are a lot thinner, lighter, and miraculously a different shape. If you compare recent pictures of her with earlier seasons, it's like night and day.

Wow, I think you are right. Just by going from memory I does seem to be all about that.

It's all Freddie Prinze Jr's fault. :P

Nice timeline. I agree. You are dead on. But she has also lost weight.

Also, you should resize some of those images to help out our 56k brethren. ;)

Actually, I just linked to some images I found online - I don't have my own personal photoshopped SMG photo album. Really!

Another noticeable difference in her appearance - tons of mascara in the early seasons. Whenever I see reruns on FX, I am struck by how much mascara they managed to clump onto her eyelashes early on. It's a wonder she could blink!

I don't think it's so much that she lost weight as that she shed her baby fat. A lot of women seem to grow taller and thinner in their 20s but they are really just growing into their bodies (the way that some people grow into their noses). I'm sure learning how to do all kinds of stunts put her in great shape too!

Hey all,

I went into last night's episode with extremely low expectations.

That said, I really, really, (did I mention really?), liked it.

Yeah, Anya got killed off and I liked her but what was there left for the character to do? The way the show ended left open all kinds of possibilities for the future of the Buffy/Joss universe.

The traditional means of slayerdom is over. Instead of just one slayer for each generation, now there may be hundreds if not thousands. This lends itself to all kinds of potential spinoffs. Faith and Buffy are still alive so at the very least guest appearances in the future are possible. Same goes for Willow, Xander and Andrew, who I understand is extremely popular with some fans.

As for Sarah Michelle...a buddy of mine said that lately her acting on Buffy had all the vigor of the reading of a tax document. She wanted to go, good for her, let's see what Joss cooks up next.

Best,

Lance Man
