"Why are you like this?" "Like What?" "Like how you are."

Me and couple of my friends just joined up today. this is great. We're all using the same computer just now, so here's one from each of use!

"I bet people can actually die of embarrassment. I bet it's been
medically proven."
MC_Streetfighter. :P

"I don't open that wide at the dentist."
As Jordon attempts to kiss Angela in his car.
Angels_Exist

"I cannot bring myself to eat a well-balanced meal in front of my mother. It just means too much to her. I mean, if you stop to think about, like, chewing -- what it really is? -- how people just do it, like, in public."
Snagmaster.

I found some more quotes that remind me of why I love this show and can't wait for the DVD!

Self Esteem episode:
Rickie: Where did you get Chinese food?
Rayanne: Two words -- Tino.

On the Wagon episode:
Jordan: What I still can't figure out...is why Tino even quit. That's what's so...frustrating. Can you imagine what that's like? To have to, like, sit around, trying to figure out what someone else is, like thinking.

The Pilot:
Rickie: Where is Tino?
Rayanne: Haven't you ever waited for anything?
Rickie: Yeah, for my life to start.

Halloween episode:
Rayanne: This is the last time I listen to Tino.
Angela: It's weird to be here at night.
Brian: Who's Tino?
Rickie: A dead man.

:)

LOVE the brian quotes. he was the guy that i loved to be expasperated with. ;)

Rickie: Who's in there?
Brian: Sharon... and that guy.
Rickie: Are they kissing? (off Brian's look) More than kissing??
Brian: (conspiratorily) He was like, making her beg. For her shoe.
Rickie: ... wow. I've... never heard of that. (trying to look inside)

"Finally. An erection from actual physical contact."

TOO FUNNY.

Some more great lines:

Angela : Wait, you're comparing me making out with Jordan Catalano to
you -- getting your stomach pumped?
Rayanne : You don't see the connection?
Sharon : The connection is self-respect.
Rayanne : *Thank* you! [they high-five]

Angela : There's something about Sunday night that *really* makes you
want to kill yourself, especially if you've just been totally made a fool
of, by the only person you'll ever love, and you have a geometry
midterm on Monday, which you still haven't studied for, because you
can't, because Brian Krakow has your textbook, and you're too
embarrassed to even deal with it. And your little sister's
completely finished with *her* homework, which is just --
like so simple and mindless a child could do it. And that creepy 60 Minutes watch that sounds like your whole
life ticking away.

LOL. I think EXACTLY this every sunday night!!! it's quite amazing, really. ;)

And I had almost forgotten how great Brian and Rickie are together. This is such a wonderfully written and performed scene...

Rickie : No, you don't understand. He says "Gee whiz", and he won't
stop with this drama club stuff. He's driving me stark, raving mad!
Brian : Did I tell you what Angela Chase asked me?
Rickie : I cannot believe they let people like that teach.
Brian : She asked me if I could come over tonight and explain congruent
triangles to her. So I said, "Do you know how long it's even been
since I - I even *had* geometry?" Then she like hands me
her geometry book, like I'm supposed to supposedly review
it, or something.
Rickie : He didn't even see the difference between Enrique and Ricardo!
Hah!
Brian : Who's Enrique and Ricardo? I mean, look at all this work I
have to do. I mean, I could spend the entire weekend, like, like
without meals -- even then, I probably couldn't get it all done.
Rickie : I mean, they're two *completely* different names.
Brian : I mean, I cannot believe what some people will ask other people
to do.
Rickie : So, you're not going?
Brian : Well, I *might* stop by. Just to kind of take a study break.

i'm not sure if this one has been posted yet but:

Katimsky: My mistress's eyes are nothing like the sun/Coral is far
more red than her lips' red/If snow be white, why then her
breasts are dun/If hair be wires, black wires grow on her
head/I have seen roses damasked, red and white/ But no such
roses see I in her cheeks/And in some perfumes there is more
delight/Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks/I
love to hear her speak, yet well I know/That music hath a
far more pleasing sound/I grant I never saw a goddess go/My
mistress when she walks treads on the ground/And yet, by
heaven, I think my love as rare/As any she belied with false
compare.

What kind of girl is Shakespeare describing here? Is she,
is she the most beautiful girl?

Brian (smiles): No.

Katimsky: Is she a goddess? Physically perfect? The kind of girl who -- uh
-- stops traffic? When she walks down the street?

Brian (smiles) : No.

Katimsky: So he's -- not in love with her?

Jordan (realization point!) : Yeah. He is.

Katimsky: Well, why is that? Why is he in love with her? What is it ? What is it about her ?

<Jordan has this shy look on his face :)>

Brian : She's not just a fantasy. She's got like -- flaws. She's
real.

Katimsky: Thank you.

 That is one of my favorite! Cracks me up.

Here's one of mine... the sonnet from Self Esteem.

" Brian...were not talking about wallpaper here, are we?"

"Well, I'd, I'd like to help you sir, but I'm too busy picturing your daughter naked."

"Because it's never happened to you. I mean, just wait...'til it happens to you, Brian. Seriously, I cannot wait until it happens to you because I'm gonna look at you...and I am gonna laugh. And I'll say, 'See? See? I told you so.'"

and of course the "This life has been a test" one. there are some great quotes on this thread.

did anyone mention this one:
"nobody should...hate who they are."

'twas always one of my favorites, though my absolute favorite has already been shared ("sometimes it seems like we're all livin' in some kind of prison..."). i used that one for my e-mail signature for a very long time.
