Here's a joke that I previously shared with our mailing list. The board's been a little slow lately, so I figured I'd share it with everyone. I got this joke a few years ago when I was on a HUGE mailing list. I don't know who wrote it, so if you know, let me know and I'll give the proper credit to the author. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Why did the chicken cross the road?


Sharon: To get to the other side! DUH squared!

Angela: It's like, once it crossed the road it was like, a totally different person.

Danielle: I can cross the road. Watch!

Brian: The road is like, a symbol for, like, the... What I mean is like it's a metaphor for like, life and stuff. You know that chicken you borrowed?

Jordan: Chicken? Sure sounds good. What else you got to eat?

If I remember correctly, a former listee named Ashley came up with most of those "daily chicken" jokes back in mid-1995. At least she started it

Brian: Was Angela, like, WITH the chicken?

Rayanne: It's a chicken, it's a road, it crossed it. Like that's not the

Rickie: She DOES have a point.

Sharon: Because it was, like, supposed to, OKAY? That was, like, the
assignment, OKAY?

Delia: I guess it wanted to try a side of the street that didn't.. hurt so
much.

Patty: It just did it to get a rise out of me. I want to know WHO the
chicken crossed the street with, when it's going to be home, and we're going
have to have an understanding about drinking...

Graham: It's just something the chicken can DO.

Jordan: I dunno. I guess it just... wanted to, or whatever.

Danielle: Why does the chicken get all the attention? I crossed the road,
too, you know.

Mr. Katimski: To get to... [five-minute pause]... the other side.



Hallie: Ya know, Brad had a theory about that chicken...

Principal Foster: I want to know exactly which chicken it was... and so do
these law-enforcement officials.

Joy, the angel: Another roll of the dice, I could've been that chicken...

Miss Krzyzanowski: It's halfway across the road. This is a very dangerous
time...

ABC: Thank you for your question regarding the ABC poultry "The Chicken."
It has begun to cross the road. A final decision as to whether it makes it
across will be made in May.

(Overheard in school hallway): I heard that Tino knows that chicken, like,
personally...
