To clarify what they say/mean

Mr. Chavatal: And, what is the purpose of plasma? The purpose of plasma is to... what? Why do we need plasma? Brian.
Brian: Because the league of nations failed.

Does it even work together? Two different subjects. Biology and History. (I'm reading from the script) But since I'm not very good at English, can anyone tell me what "League of nations" mean?
I might add some more confusions here in time.

That sequence was intended to show that Brian is the Brain always answering the teachers' questions in biology, history, and English. If you look at the scripting you can see that the scenes take place in three different classes.
<SCENE>INT LIBERTY HIGH - BIO CLASS</SCENE>

Ms. Chavatal: And, what is the purpose of plasma? The purpose of plasma is to... what? Why do we need plasma? Brian.

<SCENE>INT LIBERTY HIGH - HISTORY CLASS</SCENE>

Brian: Because the league of nations failed.

Mr. Demitri: And why did the league of nations fail? Brian.

<SCENE>INT LIBERTY HIGH - ENGLISH CLASS</SCENE>

Brian: Because it's written in the first person.

Mayhew: Thank you. Does it say, 'She was forced to go into hiding'? Somebody else besides Brian. Brian?

Brian: No.

Mayhew: No, she says, 'I', 'I was forced to go into hiding.'
The League of Nations was the precursor to the United Nations. It was part of the Versailles Treaty after WWI.

Thanks! Yes, I knew it was different classes and I got the part that Brian always answers the questions. Just trying to translate the script and it really helps to understand some stuff.

Another question...

hypoglycemia- low blood sugar, symptoms:tired, lack of energy, no get-up-and-go. Basically the opposite of diabetes which is HIGH blood sugar. The Docta has spoken.

Just to supplement Dr. K's assessment: hypoglycemia can occur as a complication of diabetes, as a condition in itself, or in association with other disorders. For those who are diagnosed, medication is available.

Some people experience symptoms of hypoglycemia (feeling weak, drowsy, confused, hungry, dizzy, appearing pale, headache, irritability, trembling, sweating, rapid heart beat, or a cold, clammy feeling) when they haven't eaten recently - meaning they are cranky and feel gross because they need to eat. So guys - when your girlfriend starts sniping at you and you realize she hasn't eaten anything all day, now you know it means it's time to feed her!

So the League of Nations failed because it was in the first person. And since it failed, we now need plasma. And if she weighs the same as a duck, she is made of wood, and therefore....

BTW: The original script draft by Winnie Holzman had some nice additions
PRELAP:
SCIENCE TEACHER'S VOICE
And why do we need plasma?

INT. HIGHSCHOOL -- SCIENCE CLASSROOM -- DAY

BORED STUDENTS, including Angela, Jordan, Brian, sprawl across lab tables. Brian's hand shoots up.

SCIENCE TEACHER
Brian?

CUT TO:

INT. SOCIAL STUDIES CLASSROOM -- DAY

Angela, Brian, Jordan, OTHERS. ANGELA STARES AS

Jordan taps Binaca out an his tongue and...

BRIAN
Because the League of Nations failed.

SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
Did anyone hear that? This is
something you're expected to know,
this was in last night's chapter...

Angela is involuntarily staring at Jordan. He glances at her. She looks away. The teacher takes this in...

SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
Jordan...? Did you read last night's
chapter?

JORDAN
I had to work. I have a job.

SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
This is your job.

JORDAN
I mean I have a real job.

SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER (SIGHS, then...)
Why did the League of Nations fail?

All automatically turn to Brian, he raises his hand...

SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER (wearily)
Brian?

INT. ENGLISH CLASSROOM -- DAY

STUDENTS, including Sharon. Angela tries to catch Sharon's eye,
Sharon pointedly ignores her. Brian lowers his hand...

BRIAN Because it's written in the first person?

The English Teacher from Yearbook, Ms. Mayhew...

MAYHEW
Exactly. Thank you. And how would you
describe Anne Frank?

Brian is about to respond, but before he can...

ANGELA
(softly, involuntarily) Lucky.

She looks up...she didn't mean to say that. The whole classroom stares at her. Even Sharon.
And later there's a hilarious scene, which is also missing in the filmed version:

Oh right! I almost forgot! Did you make out?

ANGELA No! It was a nightmare. I made a total fool of myself!

RICKIE It was lame.

RAYANNE It was a lame party. That's the Problem. You need like better conditions.

RICKIE Like darkness.

ANGELA It was horrible, I still can't believe the...patheticness that came out of my mouth, why did I even go? why?

CUT TO: INT. HIGHSCHOOL -- SCIENCE LAB:

BRIAN Because the human brain functions an electrical impulses.

SCIENCE TEACHER And what do we call those impulses...?

All turn like clockwork to Brian...even the teacher. BEAT.

BRIAN
Hey, I DON'T KNOW! OKAY?! HAPPY?!

THE NERVE-DESTROYING BELL SOUNDS
I just love how the transistions between the scenes are written :)

I bought copies of the original shooting scripts from ebay and other sources. Maybe they will be available on mscl.com sometime in the future, but right now I have no plans to add them to the site (they are copyrighted).
