Yeah, I think it's to do with whole Freudian stinger/phallic symbol thing.

For comparison, a well known fictional male Scorpio was Frank Black, of TV's Millennium. He wasn't too randy, but about every other grisly murder he investigated involved some kind of unlicensed sex worker...

They are magnets for that sort of thing - all that pulsing energy, if you know what I mean. And I think you do!

Speaking of which, I am pretty sure I saw a hooker last night. I was driving home from seeing Harry Potter and I was waiting at the light where the freeway overpass is and there was a skinny young lady wearing a short skirt walking towards the abandoned warehouses.

Now I can count the number of times that I have lain my innocent eyes on unlicensed sex workers (watching COPS doesn't count), several of them being in Honolulu, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and wondered out loud what she would be doing in that area so late at night and my boyfriend just looked at me like, "What are you, new?"

We're getting really OT now, but what the hell...

What was that line from a recent Buffy about Dawn's new look? Something like, "Or were you planning to go down to the docks and wait for the fleet to come in?" :P

From "Him" (coincidentally the only episode I have missed this season due to a power outage wiping out the pre-programming of my VCR while I was in Florida, but I'm not complaining, really): "So, do you have plans later, or are you just gonna go down to the docks and wait for the fleet to come in?"

Your recall is excellent!

I can't believe I missed Dawn being slutty. Anything besides her usual whiny self would be welcome.

OT: Hookers and Dawn

Post by NIGHTJESSI » Dec 4th 2002, 10:00 am

Candygirl, I know what you mean about actually seeing a hooker. While I was aware that they were in some areas of the Chicago area, actually seeing one last year when I was on North Avenue was definitely a trip for me. A friend and I were doing a late-night run to a 24-hour Home Depot and I saw some ladies of the night strutting their stuff on the way there. On the way back, I saw one of the women running down the street and her too-tight dress kept riding up and exposing her butt to all who could see. I'm not easily shockable but the site of this whole deal did throw me for a loop.

As for Dawn, I'm not a Buffy watcher (please don't kill me), but I must say it was a trip to see Michelle Trachtenberg in Harriet the Spy. She was so young in that movie, but it was a fun one to watch.

I've seen hookers in chicago too!! My friends and i were coming back from a concert by the united center, and there were 2 disgustingly dressed women walking around the parking lot, and it was obvious they were looking for some "customers" lol. My friend says there's a lot on the south side. I also saw one up here at college standing at the street corner doing her lipstick and bending over... *gag*

I couldn't believe how many hookers I saw in Hawaii. I mean WOW. And since it was summer, the outfits were pretty small. One chick was wearing a bright yellow spandex "dress" - the front was sort of a halter neckline that plunged down almost to her belly button (think J-Lo's infamous dress) and the hem fell a few millimeters below her pubic hair. No joke. From the rear view, we're talking cheek hanging out and not just a little hint. I was speechless.

I really wonder where they get those outfits. I have seen the Frederick's of Hollywood catalog and I have not seen the yellow spandex outfit. Maybe there is a special retail outlet that we don't know about?

Not to be confused with the Early December Is Arriving, Anyone Have Their Ho thread in the DVD forum.
