If i told you i would have to kill you. But you know too much already, my underground operatives will be contacting you shortly.

And you will be receiving a cease and desist from my lawyer, Mr. Celine, from the Golde & Appel firm.

I knew it was an odd number! Ehhh, that was just my rationalization for being wrong.

Thanks for the screen cap Sascha!

Nostradamus - letting it dangle would be a waste.

LMAO! Never thought of it that way before!

After consultation with my Neo-Pagan friend, we agreed that the numerological significance of two gods joined with three goddesses is that it forms "a pretty good ratio"

I finally read this thread so I thought I would cut and paste Sascha's research for the rest of the lazy people like me:

Jordan : There are, like, eight bedrooms.
Angela : That many.

Graham : [on the phone] No. I definitely said *this* Friday. No,
P - Patty, please -- the point is they're here. They're in our living
room. Well -- I-I-I can hold dinner for a little while, but -- okay,
okay, all right, all right. Don't work too hard. I'll see you at --
uh, eight.

Hallie : Don't apologize! We ate every scrap of food and left like eight
million dishes.

#08:
Graham : He's exactly my age..
Patty : I know..
Graham : Yeah, we're like eight months apart..

#11
Sharon : Uh, she's working at Big Guy Burger tonight from three-thirty
til eight.

Rickie : Angela, maybe we should go. You know, to that stupid dance.
Angela : Oh, my God, we should go *together*!
Rickie : Right. Eight o' clock?
Angela : Eight o' clock!
Rickie : I feel so much better, you know? Just to know that it's
settled.

Brian : Her hair smelled like the orange grove we passed when I was
eight on the way to see my grandmother.

#5
Kyle : What, people I, like, know?
Sharon : Eight people have asked me out, Kyle. Okay? Since Tuesday.

#02
Angela : I've said, like eight sentences to you in my entire life.

#03
Angela: We are not going to change our entire lives over
this. There was one stupid gun shot. You are not
dropping me at school. Gawd. I'm not an eight
years old.

#04:
Patty : Lunch was a disaster. He forced me to order pie. And I actually
ate it. I mean, what is wrong with me? Why do I become...an
eight year old around him?

Graham : All right! I admit it, okay? Look, I saw the Grateful Dead when
I was fifteen years old. It was one of the eight best nights of
my life.

Rayanne : <sigh> I'm lucky, my dad's had, like, eight different girlfriends
since he left, so...I'm used to it.

Patty : You know, that's exactly what I thought Dad, and then it came to
me. Lease it. I mean, that way it'd only cost about eight grand
a month.

#07:
Camille : Well, how late?
Patty : Eight days. Eight fun-filled days.
Camille : You're eight days late?
Patty : Shhhhh!
Camille : God, you're never late.

Danielle: I don't know. But, there must be someone there she likes 'cause
she changed clothes, like, eight different times.

This morning as I was getting ready for work, the morning DJ was talking about some intimate Creed (ugh!) concert they sponsored at a house up in the mountains. The DJ was going on and on about how great it was and then he started talking about how cool the house was and added, "There are, like, eight bedrooms."

I almost spit out my toothpaste laughing!

Since it seems we have exhausted number eight, we'll move on to...

The number three: on Brian's shirt and Mr. Katimski's apartment number

Any other instances with the number three?

3 is the number of Mr. Katimski's apartment... which I took to be a nice match for the 3 on Rickie's(Brian's) shirt in Halloween, you know, when he was trying to be 'everybody else'.

There's a definite significance to eight in chinese culture.

Chinese are big on puns, which is kind of funny since a lot of words are actually the same sound, but different tones.

For any given sound, seven potential different tones can be used, each of these different potential pronunciations being a different word. For example, the word for death sounds the same as the word for four, just different tones (I should mention that this is in Cantonese, not Mandarin, or some other dialect, even though it's all written the same).

Eight has always been considered a lucky number because it sounds similar to the word for success. In this case, the tone is the same, but the beginning of the sound is different (a nasal "b" for eight, like "f" for success).

A lot of people have attached significance to eight because of its resemblance to the symbol for infinity.

Maybe Angela was really Chinese?

From the Zit: "We have Girl Scout cookies from, like, three years ago in our garage."

From Why Jordan Can't Read: "Black, with three or four sugars."

After rewatching Resolutions on New Years with my best friend, fan-fic coauthor, etc. (awww), I reread the Angela's World analysis of it. The three on Katimski's door? Because that apartment is complete with three people. Rickie's found his home. The place where he, like, belongs.(YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

This isn't strictly math related, but it does have to do with numbers - in Other People's Mothers, Angela storms out of her grandparents' 45th anniversary party and goes to Rayanne's birthday party. How did she get there?

Earlier in the episode, Patty complains that she has to drive "clear across town" to pick Angela up at Amber's place which is 20 minutes away. Later when Patty arrives and asks Rickie how long Rayanne has been breathing like that, he tells her 15 minutes (Patty must have been speeding to shave five minutes off the drive!). A 15-20 minute drive is definitely too far for Angela to walk, so how did she get to Rayanne's house? The 3rd Street bus that Rickie takes in Father Figures?

Patty could have been exaggerating about how far it is and the time it takes to get to Amber's. Angela and Rayanne are in the same school district, and I don't think that they would be going to the same school if they lived "clear across town" from each other. Patty tends to exaggerate a bit in this show. Possibly because she seems so exasperated with Angela much of time. Can't think of a specific example at the moment...
