Freaks me right out too! I actually try not to look at it. I definately don't think I could handle seeing that film!

Well I just got in a shipment of about 8 DVDs from the UK, so I will probably pull a new avatar off of one of those...if you are lucky it won't be from the 28 Days Later DVD ;) .... hell, or IRREVERSIBLE for that matter...

Same here. I just avoid looking at it alltogether.

I'm too scared to even think about seeing that movie. I'm such a movie wuss. The last movie I saw that truly gave me nightmares was Requiem for a Dream. *shiver*

I truly believe that having kids watch Requiem for a Dream will do more than going to Just Say No/DARE meetings.

Agreed. It really shows the horrible side of drugs. Although I must admit nothing in the movie bothered me till:
They took his arm off
That part freaked me out...<shudder>

Actually
seeing the nasty ass condition of his arm
was more than enough to gross me out!

But who else thought that "28 Days Later" was going to be nothing more that Sandra reprising her role from 28 Days? *shudder* Now thats a scary thought! :cry2:

Heh I know lol. I had my sister pick up the DVD for me in England since she was coming back to the states for a bit. I told her several time, "Make sure it is 28 Days LATER, not just 28 Days!!"

Seriously. My kids will be seeing it when they're about 12. Of corse it may not seem so shocking in about 10 years. I remember the first time I saw "Clockwork Orange" a few years ago. I mean, it is a shocking movie even still, but it was NOTHING compared to the horror my mother had talked up about it.

Still, after seeing Requiem for a Dream, I've been too scared to take anything stronger than a Tylenol. While in labor, I wouldn't even discuss narcotics. I'd rather endure the pain than ... ugh, my mind just goes to
Ellen Burstyn in the hospital being force-fed and jolted with electroshock therapy.
Yeah, if I had seen that movie as a young teen, I would have been too scared to even try pot. I wish that had been the case b/c I ended up having a rare but horrible reaction to pot which was hellish -- but that's a whole nother story. (Where's the verbal diharrea icon?)

So, what is 28 Days Later?

"Jeremiah was a bullfrog, he was good friend of mine..."

Whoops! Wrong flick...

28 Days Later was reviewed in this week's Entertainment Weekly... They gave it a B I think (something in the B range anyway). Sounds interesting.... for me to poop on!

Okay, I need some sleep.

So since it seemed to be hinted that my last avatar was wearing it's welcome thin, I decided to go with an ultra-kawaii avatar now :D

This is Komugi-chan from the anime Nurse Witch Komugi-chan Magikarte and also from the anime The Soultaker (which is where she originally appeared, but became so popular they gave her her own show Nurse Witch).

I tend to use her as my avatar on the anime sites mostly, but I figured I would infect you all with the shoujo cuteness of Komugi-chan

You can see more info on her at: http://www.mugimugi.com/mugikko.php

...Tinkering with a new avatar...

I shamelessly ripped off this one from artist Tim Bradstreet. It originally appeared in Vampire: The Masquerade. You can see the whole picture in this gallery.
