FREE ice cream!

Post by Natasha (candygirl) » Apr 26th 2003, 9:57 pm

It's that time again - free ice cream night at Baskin Robbins!

On Wednesday, April 30, you can get a free scoop of ice cream (6-10pm).

Not only do you get free ice cream, but Baskin Robbins will make a donation to First Book, an organization that provides new books to low-income children. Feel good about eating free ice cream! :D

For more info, see here

Look, if this is weird for you, being tutored? I don't mind helping you a little longer.
You could have sex with me if you really want to help...I guess that's a "no"?

One more free ice cream night on Tuesday, April 29 (12-8pm) at Ben & Jerry's.

They aren't making a donation for each free scoop, but hey they have Cherry Garcia - you can think of Father Figures while getting free ice cream!

(they got rid of Wavy Gravy after the acquisition, so Cherry Garcia is the lone B&J flavor left named after a hippie :D)

Free BJs? I'm surprised my husband wasn't all over that.

One year when I was in college, I sent out an email with "FREE BJ" in the subject heading. Dirty birdies thought I was promising something other than free ice cream!

Besides, BJ & Steak day is in March, not April!

It's that time of year again!

Free ice cream, and some good causes!

Ben & Jerry's Free Scoop Night
April 27 (12-8 pm)
The Ben & Jerry's annual "thank you" tradition, begun in 1978 at the original Ben & Jerry's scoop shop, just keeps getting bigger every year. With more Ben & Jerry's scoop shops just about everywhere getting in on the action, last year's Free Cone Day scooped over a million thank-you's worldwide. This year there's more than one reason to get in on the Free Cone Day action. It's an election year, so we've teamed up with Rock The Vote to help register new voters. Starting on Free Cone Day, you can register to vote at selected Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops.

Baskin Robbins Free Scoop Night
April 28 (6-10pm)
For the fifth consecutive year, Baskin Robbins will make a donation to First Book to provide new books to children in need. Based on numerous studies, "book ownership" has consistently proven to be a powerful catalyst in increasing literacy rates, especially among young readers. First Book is a national non-profit organization that provides children from low-income families with their first new books. In neighborhoods across the country, First Book Local Advisory Boards unite leaders from all sectors of the community to provide books to children in literacy programs, after-school programs, and other community-based efforts reaching children living at or below the poverty line. With strong support from Baskin-Robbins, in the last three years alone, First Book has provided almost 20 million new books to children in need in hundreds of communities nationwide.

i don't think they give out free bj in jail...
I think they do have bj's in jail. I think it's just a different, ummm, "flavor" than you get in stores. And Ross might be the one giving it out, or at least we can hope so.

In the interest of maintaining our PG rating, I shall say no more.

Well, I doubt they are free. Whether it is a pack pf Newports, just a few loosies, or a severe beating there is always a price.

I wonder what kind of jail tats he will get. Maybe he will get a MSCL one

OKAY, so this totally is NOT on the topic of Ice Cream, but since it's just an announcement, I really didn't want to start a whole new thread, and because it is alerting those of you in the LA area to a free event, I figured posting it here wouldn't be a huge stretch:

LACMA's 2nd ALL-Night party is tonight! Free from 7pm-7am, two exhibitions, bands, DJs, food, drinks, and a screening of the Sundance winner! The first one back in February was awesome!! If you're in LA tonight you should totally go! [Maybe there might even be ice cream  )
Sometimes I write a little MSCL fanfiction: https://www.fanfiction.net/u/1039807/Jody-Barsch
Also, after multiple V. Mars reiterations, and finally a Deadwood movie, still wishing for some continuation of The Riches !
