News Alert: Space Shuttle Columbia Lost Prior To Landing

More and more, it looks like the shuttle was struck by some space debris prior to starting for home. I think it will be a long time until the true cause of the tragedy will be known though.

On the news tonight, they showed video of the flight controllers trying to contact the crew after the shuttle broke apart. The concern on their faces was very evident. However, I admire their professionalism. Even though part of them was dying inside, they did their jobs. I have a lot of respect for them.
