Received Refund Quickly

After reading all the mentions of excessive times taken to receive refunds, I was concerned when I had to contact Another Universe myself about one. If you'll recall, I mentioned last weekend that I had been charged an extra $79.98 and an additional $115. I submitted information about the overcharges via the form, as well as emailed Gord and Ross on Sunday. By Thursday, the refunds showed up on my credit card.

I just thought I'd share a positive story about getting a refund; I was impressed with the speed with which it was handled. Thanks to all those who helped! So my advice to you if you have been overcharged and need to contact is to fill out the form and send some polite emails. I'm not sure if being polite in emails makes those in charge respond more quickly, but I know it can't hurt.

I must finally leave a positive message about AU. I called my credit card company yesterday and they said that my account had been credited $115. I was so happy. I am praying for no more problems and that my DVD arrives before the end of Sept!

After my postings here and another phone call to AU, in which the fella who answered the phone knew me the moment I called (scary!), I checked my credit card company and I have been refunded my two overcharges. So, phew, glad that I got my money refunded, but I'm sorry it had to get to the point of me threatening small claims court to get addressed. I only hope everyone else gets their refunds soon, especially those people who are living hand-to-mouth.
