Jason,

I already emailed you about the overcharge on my Credit Card (actually it is a Debit Card), and you told me -

"i will report. bear in mind it can take a number of days for the correction to show up. I've seen as few as 1 and as many as 9!!!!! "

:?:

Do you still think I should call my bank and report the overcharge to them? Does AU actually have to fix the problem? Does the bank? Just want to know what you think would be best.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU :D

*sorry for adding to your troubles right before your wedding*

it depends if you are so p.o.ed that you now intend to cancel the order. i am pretty sure that your bank will do a charge back and this order might be cancelled altogether. you can definitely do it.

I am waiting patiently for Mike at AU to acknowledge all of the correction requests I've sent him. I've heard nothing back. I am doing this for them to reduce their telephone calls. I am in the embarassing situation of now having to email a bunch of people and tell them that i cannot be sure that my intervention did them any good.

Needless to say, I can't assist AU if they don't answer me.

888-5-COMICS is their number.

SO, I called my bank and reported the unauthorized usage of my card on July 23rd by "TheComicStore.com" or AU. You mentioned that my order might be cancelled all together... did you mean my original order back in March (my pre-order which I was charged $20, and then $79.99 earlier in the year) or the $115 order on July 23rd which I never ordered?

I too called AU, and when no one picked up the phone, I decided to call the bank and report. If AU is p.o.ed about me reporting, can they cancel my original order?

I was just confused and wanted to ask all my questions.

Thanks

First, I would try to call them. Then, if that fails... it shouldn't although the phones might be busy at times, you should email me. I was acting as a go-between for double charges, but it seems like they don't want me doing this anymore.

A chargeback could theoretically cancel an order if they end up cancelling a double charge and you end up charging back the same amount. And the last thing you need right now is another headache so I would call them first. Give them a chance to undo the wrong.

Incidentally, if an order should become cancelled somehow, send me an email and I will set it straight. Certainly, if the service level you get on the phone is less than expected, let me know too, and I will communicate this for you.
