Proof positive that being a minor pain in the butt can pay off. I think the key is to be a friendly pain in the butt. I am told that they are also working with corporate communications to get it posted on one of their sites. I will obviously post the link once I get it.

"it took so long to get the press release, you guys won't get the set until 2005!"

"hahaha. don't you guys realize this is a scam?!"

"That's all fine and dandy Jason, but we don't want a press release we want the set."

Do me a favor, and refrain from such posts for at least 30 minutes so I can savor a minor victory. :-)

Jason,

MWAH!!!! That's a big kiss.

You know, in a purely Angela-Brian platonic way, or whatever. ;-

You rock, man.

>> MWAH!!!! That's a big kiss.

I second that! Thanks a lot for all you've put into this. Everything you've posted has made me more confident about the quality of this set, and consequently and unfortunately more impatient :)
But anyhoo, I really hope this gets people to cool down a bit. Thanks again for putting up with us, and of course with all the business folk.

Hugs and Kisses (platonic ones, of course)

so says Sparx.

Mwaaaah! That's a non-platonic kiss. You deserve a little sumpin sumpin for all the hard work.

; )

Jason, you will never know the full extent of how happy you have made thousands of people! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Well, it looks more and more like a scam when AU puts a second charge on my credit card without my authorization. They and my credit card company will be hearing from me today.

Same thing happened to me. I don't get it. I've had every problem possible with them/this and I still want the DVD set.

First I ordered the full DVD set since I was too late for the special one (I have the first DVD). Then I didn't hear anything but a confirmation for ordering. The first mass mail about paying everything in advanced never reached me. I got confused. There was nothing I could do until they accually told me about this. Which didn't happen so I e-mailed Jason. After another month or so I got a mass-mail from Jason telling me that those who recieved that e-mail had not responded to the first mass-mail I didn't get. So I had to confirm paying everything in advance, and I did. I wanted the DVD set. Even at the moment I ordered from the beginning I was a bit unsure because it was a lot of money. I've never paid this much for DVD before. But hey, not many people will have this special DVD set and I love the show!
After confirming payment it took a while. I felt relaxed...until much later when I recieve an e-mail telling me my card was declined. s**t! Well.. it looked like they had drawn the money but I checked with the bank and it wasn't the AU. So the problem was that my credit card had stopped working so I had to get a new one and it had a different expire date. Ok, so this was my fault, or at least not Au's. Jason told me to give him the new expire date and he would fix it. And then I didn't hear anything. I saw more people had the same problem and we all wondered what was happening now. Why didn't AU reply?
So finally I get an e-mail, and this was much later, that says I've paid for the DVD set fully. This e-mail arrived June 21st. (Long before I had recieved the snailmail telling me the same thing although that was wrong. Or at least it didn't say clearly what I had paid and not paid.)
Fine, so now I had paid the whole amount. The e-mail said I should expect the DVD set within 10 working days. Haha! I didn't think so. But it was stupid of them to include all those lines about delivertime in this email since we all know we will have to wait forever.
So..now was only to wait. I heard about people who had trouble with double payments. And then it happened to me. On July 2nd I receieved an exakt e-mail like the last one saying I had paid the full amount of 1 DVD set. Again!?! I checked my account and yes, they had drawn the money again!"!

Now I'm only waiting for them to reply my angry e-mail about this one. I don't want to pay double amount for my DVD set. Ofcourse not. So what else can happen to me? Will I ever see the DVD set? My only hope is Jason. I truly trust him.

Hope you all feel happier about your own troubles after reading this :)

If you were double charged, we'll fix it. We're trying to change our credit card processor due to constant problems like this from them. They took authorizations (which should have just been a hold) and charged. They took declined charges that we were able to hand run and automatically charged them again. I'm not sure if we're looking at a new problem or what.

But if there is a problem we will fix it.

If you feel that you need more help from the company, e-mail me directly at ross@anotheruniverse.com. If the 888 number is still only working in CA, you can call the office at 916-450-0707.

I hear ya. Basically the same thing happened to me. Au doubled charged my account and they overcharged it as well. With alot of called, emailing, and alot of Jason's help they credited my account for the money they overcharged me. But I still have one problem with them. My bank charged me an overdraft fee of close to $30 and AU said that if I faxed them my bank statement then they would send me a refund. I faxed them numorous times and it didn't go through. I emailed them and told them what was going on and they emailed me right back and told me that they fixed the problem but I still wasn't able to fax it. I will probably just have to send it through the mail but I just wanted to speed things up so I would get my money soon, I mean it is my money and I think I deserve to get it back since it is their fault. I do know one thing for sure though. Once everything is running smoothly and I have the dvd set in my hands I am never again going to purchase anything from AU and I'm sure everybody else that is having problems with them, which is a majority of us, feels the same way. With all the unnessessary crap we're all having to go through, it's just ridiculous. They are going to be loosing alot of business, because all of us aren't going to run off and tell everyone we know good things about this place. They are a business and they need to start acting like it. Anyways, just wanted to say a few words.

AS above, we've had almost every problem imaginable with this set as well. From BMG telling us they were starting production and giving us a ship date and then pulling it to our Credit Card Processor trying to find every concevable way to screw up what should be a fairly easy transaction.

You can send your angry e-mail directly to me at ross@anotheruniverse.com to fix the problem.

As far as the e-mail saying it would ship in 10 days, that's the standard e-mail for all orders from the site. This was sold as a pre-order, but there is no way to really send a different e-mail for just one item as opposed to all the other items we sell.

E-mail me and I'll make sure we take care of it.

Doing this hasn't been easy on our end. But we will get it all taken care of and make sure it all ends up with the DVD sets in the fans hands.

Well, the toll free number wasn't working when I called this morning...and the guy I talked to (perhaps it was you) was completely less than helpful...kept saying that he couldn't do anything, and that accounting wouldn't be back till monday...and that he couldn't even cancel my order until Monday either. I called my credit card company to dispute the charges, and they said I couldn't dispute the new 79.98 as it was just an authorization, but I could dispute the $115 I was charged back in June.

You guys may be doing all you can to fix all this, but you sure aren't earning a lot of customer service points from those of us who have never used or even heard of you before.
