The Jason appreciation thread ;-)

Post by socalledfan » May 9th 2002, 3:30 pm

I know this has been said before...but I would like to take another opportunity to thank you, Jason, for all your hard work on behalf of us fans. You are an inspiration. Who would have ever thought a DVD box set would become a reality?

So, like, thanks. Or whatever. For, you know, just being you.

Everyone show some love for Jason!

Only three posts? C'mon! This is the man right here. I'm especially pleased because I'm such a pessimist (or a realist) and I was certain that this would never happen. I didn't even think there were enough fans who would support it as much as they have, but they've come out in droves.

Y'know, I don't even OWN a DVD player but having discovered this site and re-discovering what MSCL has meant to me, I had to buy the DVD series! I think it's great that it all finally came together after all these years, so thank you for your hard work and dedication! :-)

I'll second that.

Thorsten

Our hero

We should revive that Jason appreciation thread, to thank again our DVD-Super-Bat-Spider-Man (an real all-in-one-solution). He has to fight against all that evil forces, that try to harm our DVD-project. He's Superman struggling with those big almighty media bosses who try to squeeze out the last music rights off our beloved series. He's turning into Spiderman, if it comes to fight against all that unfair critics. He holds everything together with his virtual spider strings. With his net he's protecting this fearful pre-orderers from the "If I don't get my set today, my lawyer will make ham out of you"-bugs. Last but not least he's Batman. Out of a dark cloud flutters this little black bat...oops, wrong story, he's not Count Dracula...appears this purple coated hero with the stylish yellow black bat symbol on his steeled front. With his fast wings (did Batman have wings? Maybe his Batmobil is as fast), he is able to keep us informed as quick as possible. The distance between LA to NY it's like a footstep for him. And the undeniable advantage of this life form is the activity at nights. So what can we expect more? Personally I feel we are in the right hands.

So much thanks to Jason "Mr. DVD" Rosenfeld and to all who are working hard to make this project possible.

Thorsten

thank you Jason! From the bottom of my heart - I live in awe of your tenacity and patience...
I had a query on my order - know how long it took to get sorted? approx 6 hours. Within that time I had an email from Jason plus a confirmation from AnotherUniverse.
Thank you thank you I can hardly wait for the DVD set

:D :D :D

My sincere thanks as well. You're one of the few people that makes me think humanity might not be completely doomed. :) The way you're dealing with all this is really beautiful and I appreciate it.

I've just returned from Disneyland, and I've decided that that's where you should work. There, everyone's ready to help you, no matter how stupid, mean, and angry you are. There were many times I was reminded of you.

Hugs and Kisses.

Maybe there should be a website called "The so called Life of Jason Rosenfeld".

or:

"Jason's so called Life".

I thought of another one: (inserted 2002-07-13)

"My so called Jason".

On behalf of the IJJTBB, thank you Jason - for every moment that you have dealt with this from years ago when you nagged BMG every week to now when you read people's emails while driving.

The elves are currently crafting a glimmering crown encrusted with jewels. It should be ready in time for the coronation. Mid-August-ish?

:D

Next up: the I [big red heart] Jason t-shirts for the IJJTBB members. Perhaps a picture, reminiscent of the Neil shirts that Sassy made.

Speaking as someone who has logged countless hours being driven around in rickety, overpowered sports cars at insane speeds through city traffic and on the edge of mountain cliffs while the driver was chatting amiably on the cellphone and smoking stogies, I will second Gord Lacey's appreciation of J.R.'s flagrant disregard for human life while answering e-mails :P . Perhaps I speak for many fans, though, when I say that we have invested far too much money in this experiment for him to crash and burn now. Please, Jason, find yourself a wheelman; there will be plenty of time for glorius Devil-May-Care stunts after we have our merchandise  .

Now then, regarding the IJJTBB, is there room for a Court Astrologer?

We just happen to have a vacancy for Court Astrologer. Unfortunately, due to our budget constraints you must provide your own menacing black cape. See if you can borrow one from Harry Potter.

Welcome to the Brigade. Not the Bones Brigade

(I can't believe that Tony Hawk is still sk8ing!)

unless of course we can find someone who is qualified for the post of Official SK8 or Die Goofy Foot.

Has the title of "First Tiger" been filled yet? Oh, wait, wrong club. That was Get Rid Of Slimy GirlS, I'm sorry.
