Questions for Bedford Falls!

Post by danguyf » Apr 23rd 2002, 7:25 am

As Jason has referenced elsewhere, this Friday a crew is going out to Bedford Falls to interview Marshall Herskovitz, Edward Zwick, and Winnie Holzman. (If you're not sure who they are, check out IMDB.) This interview, or set of interviews, will be one of the items included on the bonus DVD.

There are many questions which all of us, as fans, would like to ask them! So we're giving you the chance to post you questions here for them. All questions posted to this thread by 4pm EST Thursday 4/25/02 will be considered.

Please read over the questions already posted before posting your own, to ensure that the thread does not fill with identical questions. If you would like to add something to a question someone else has posted, by all means reply to that question with your addendum.

Would Angela and Rayanne have been able to repair their friendship?

What is the one thing you really wish had happened in the series, that didn't?
What are some parts of the series that you wish you could change?

Would Angela have ended up with Brian or Jordan? Would Graham have an affair with Hallie? Would Rickie continue to live with Katimski? Would Rayanne overcome her alcoholism?

Okay... I'm done now. :-)

Yes, I have a few questions:

1. Were there any episodes that never made it to television & never got aired? Are there any lost episodes that were filmed (but never aired) before the show got cancelled with ABC network t.v.?

2. How did the idea come about to change Angela's haircolor? Whose idea was it & who decided on crimson glow? (Great Idea)

3. What was it like to record so many scenes inside a high school??

4. What are your most memorable moments about the show?

5. When the cameras were not rolling, what was it like to be around all the characters in the show? Describe the atmosphere on the set during & after filming?

Ok hopefully 1 of the 5 will make it. LOL

Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere but...

1.) Was "My So-Called Life" the first and only suggested title for the series, or
were there other contenders?

2.) During the production, did you know you were onto something special?

3.) Was there anything that you would loved to have done on the series, in regard
to characters and storylines, but were unable to for some reason or another (time
contraints, conservative nature of television...etc)?

How did everyone feel when you first heard the show was being cancelled?

*(for each of them) Which character do you relate to the most?
*from where did you draw your inspiration for the characters?
*how were you able to replicate so accurately the angst and turmoil running through teenagers' minds despite being a few years removed from that age? (I'm in my early 20's and I sometimes have a hard time remembering, let alone recapturing, some of my thoughts and emotions from those years!)

Question for everyone:

Are you surprised that there's still such a strong following for the show, so many years after it was cancelled?

Question for W.G. Snuffy Walden:

How did your collaboration with Juliana Hatfield come about? What was it like to work with her?

YOU TOOK MY QUESTION!!!!!!!!

Post by K-man » Apr 24th 2002, 11:57 am

Jamie,
YOU TOOK MY QUESTION! This is far and away what I want answered the most. Well, actually I was going to ask them all to please comment on their feelings with regard to the strong following that the show still has 7+ years after it was cancelled. I would also be very interested in posing this question to the cast members as well. Nice Job!

So my feeling is, whatever happens, happens. K-man

Did the threat of cancellation affect how the series ended or would the final episodes have been the same even if you were certain to be renewed for a second season?

Where do you think Jordan Catalano would be now?

Also for W.G. Snuffy Walden:

The music in "In Dreams Begin Resposibilities" where Brian writes the letter (also the final scene), sounds the same as when Sharon and Kyle get together in "The Zit". I just wondered whether you "saved" this song for such a romantic momment after realising how good it is?
