Kinda sorry to boing this to the top, but i haven't been around much in a long time.
Was this short bit all that came of informing NBC?
I very carefully informed a local TV-News consumer advocate of this whole mess sometime late in 2002. I got no response so after a few weeks i sent the information again, and included a note at the top saying i had at least expected an autoreply, or a rejection, or some acknowledgement the first time around, given the type of material.
I got an email back, at last, from the guy who reads the complaints for the guy who does the stories. I had sent the original email before i knew the full details but tried to be as clear and precise as possible.
The gist of his message was:
Sorry, i read the complaint, but given the complexity of the whole thing and it's International (*)
nature, i don't think it could be covered in a minute and a half!
* He obviously misconstrued what i meant concerning the lunchboxes coming from china, and maybe took into account the customers being from different countries.

I thought i was pretty clear that it was really about Ross and CA. I'm pretty pedantic. After all, this is the third posting for this very message, just so i could add a couple bits and correct some boo-boos. (now 4th)
