Wade's Back

I left a message on AU's voicemail. I know, a waste of time. Anyway, about an hour later, Wade called me back. I couldn't believe it! He said he was gone all last week; apparently the rumors weren't true???? So what does this say about the "whistleblower"?

Anyway, as stated earlier about UPS only saying billing information received...call AU. Mine is supposedly lost in the mail and I'm not part of Wave 2. And Wade said because I have a tracking number, I have a package with the DVDs in it. He said he would pass it on to the shipping department; if nothing's changed by Wednesday to call back again. Okay, so how did some of you end up getting your DVDs overnighted to you when you had shipping problems? Why can't I?????

Anyway, should I get my hopes up that I'll actually receive my DVDs in this century, or am I being too optimistic?

The "whistleblower" said Wade was suspended, not fired. So I guess this means his suspension is over, he has cooled his nerves, and he can go back to lying to customers again.

Assuming, also, that the whistleblower was telling the truth, and not feeding us a line to make us all look like a bunch of paranoid panicky naysayers, thus putting Rojek and AU in the pitiable position of put-upon underdogs.

Greetings one and all! Just call me ILoveCupCakes, because judging by all the overweight people who work at the main office, that must be their food of choice! Anyway, I work for Comics and Comix and would prefer not have my name floating around the forums here, since I would like to keep my job. As for Wade, he was neither fired or suspended, just given sometime off to regroup mentally. He is just our admin guy and just got overwhelmed by this whole DVD mess. A good guy, but a bit fragile.

CupCakes... Maybe you can help us settle the never ending debate:

Anotheruniverse.com credit card double charges:

shameless attempt to steal money to pad bottom line

-or-

accidental result caused by being incompetent and/or lazy

Having dealt with Wade on a number of occasions (most of them being conversations like "Do you know if Ross sent checks out today?"), I can attest to ILoveCupCakes assessment. Wade is the human shield for Ross--which would be a job to give anyone shellshock.

I am not involved in the process, or even work in the building where that happens, so I have no idea. I'm just a clerk who works in a comic store.....

Then he wouldnt lie and say that the refund will be coming etc. If he was a "good guy" he would be more honest with the people he talks to.
