Just curious.
Almost feel like ordering something else just to find out.
I said almost!

Orlando-
Well, there are posts in here that decribe non-playment for services
rendered to AU, including Howard, a freelance writer, and then recently
it was posted that the original webdesigner for AU didn't get paid all
that he was due.
Also, even AU states that their customer service is horrible (by any
other on-line retailer standards) when they saw any communcation
sent to them might take 10 business days for them to contact the
customer back.
Also, keep in mind that it was reported that the Better Business Breau
says they had numerous complaints about AU prior to this fiasco.
So, while I am sure this is a new high is crappy customer service for
AU, it is not new.
I wouldn't buy anything from them.

If you decide to test your theories, orlando, do it with a card with a very low available balance.

Orlando,
I have personal experience with AU from before this whole DVD fiasco. I discussed it awhile back on this forum elsewhere so i will just do a quick rehash now.
My girlfriend placed an order in late october/early november for a few of my xmas gifts (tin Bender from Futurama and some other things IIRC). Lo and behold the items didnt arrive until around february. And they were supposedly in stock the whole time. It seems they dont know how to write out addresses correctly (or that is the excuse they gave most of the time). She had the same s**t customer service we all have gotten and had to call a few different places to get answers as to where our crap was. Eventually it came though...which is why i have hope that the MSCL set will eventually come. We dont know about any double charges though since she used someone elses card at the time.
That is the reason why it took me till June to finally say ok to ordering this DVD set AU, i didnt want to deal with their BS ever again...but since the set was exclusive

i went for it....and got triple charge...bastards...

Some cards can generate temporary numbers, good for only a one-time charge that are linked to your real number. That may be the best option if you decide to gamble with ordering from AU.
