Just surfed by and they have now put up the story. Interesting to read it.

I believe this sums up this entire, long-winded mess...
Jason Rosenfeld: Well, there was also a looming deadline for them to pay their suppliers for the product. I essentially said, "I cannot do business with your company." The response was "OK, we'll figure something out. So does that mean that [BMG and another vendor] shouldn't confirm with you that product is shipping?"

Jeff Kleist: That's... apathy in a bottle.
Apathy in a bottle, now available EXCLUSIVELY from Another Universe.

Good interview Jason - thanks for the further insight.

That was a good interview. It really got the point across that AU dropped the ball big time (without all of us yelling and screaming). It seemed very professional but laid into AU enough.

It makes a great link to share around with other places.

I give mephisto 30 minutes before there's a really cool looking AU ad for bottled apathy.

While we wait to see what mephisto has in store for us, I feel this would be an opportune time to reprise the following from an earlier thread:

That poster is hilarious (and oh so fitting)! :)

Does anyone remember what website features those or remember the original thread that mentioned them? I can't seem to locate in anymore. Thanks!

Justjill,

I'm not sure where the previous thread is, but if you do a web search for "Demotivators", or go to Despair.com, you'll be able to see some of the designs.

Yep, totally agree. This is the kind of negative press I like to see for Another Universe. Calm, factual, professional. I thought the article summarized things nicely, and that Jason came across very well. The interviewer's questions helped a lot, too; he seemed to be familiar with the situation himself.

Believe it or not, this interviewer is the only one I spoke with that had not been double charged for the DVDs. Don't know if he actually ordered them, though, so that might be why.

It was a calm interview. I credit that to having quit the project. My life is getting back to normal again.

Well, I am glad that The Digital Bits got around to posting your interview
prior to the street date of the DVDs...and it does seem like they have
more studios watching them (along with the http://www.hometheaterforum.com)
than places like moviepoopshoot.com or other webspaces.

Bottom line: I don't want Rojek to be able to gloss this over if he decides
to start another business venture and leaves us all with money owed us.
