http://imdb.com/

A huge "exclusive AU.com" paragraph, not just a banner, but an actual body of text dedicated to "Get them while they last" DVD box sets.

False advertising, oui.

And if you scroll down, there's the imdb.com "Quote of the day":

Movie/TV Quote of the Day

ANGELA
When I was little I, like, worshipped Halloween. And truthfully, part of me still does. 'Cause it's your one chance all year to be someone else.

From "My So-Called Life" (1994)

Looks like it's MSCL-day at imdb.com.

This is all quite amusing - particularly as IMDB is owned by Amazon!!!

Perhaps we should take out an advert on IMDB as well - warning all Ross's potential customers?

Would that be the money from the second or third overcharge? :)

What's lovely though is that the sales rank on amazon has risen agian today...probably due to people seeing the box set advertised on imdb.com. Then being the clever internet purchasers they browse through to amazon and pick it up for 50% less cash and 100% less hassle (although of course they don't know that!)

The six-disc set... has Region 0 coding..., which includes commentary from the show's creators.
Despite the awkwardness of this sentence (barely helped by my removing the text they had in parentheses), do they know something we don't? Does the whole "set" (presumably the episodes) include commentary from the creators? I didn't think it did.

And it doesn't.

Aha, then perhaps they mean... uh... that the episodes themselves are the producers' commentary on modern teenage life! Yeah, that must be it!

That was the best explanation I've seen for it yet Aaron. Because you know that AU would NEVER lie about their product.

I guess they mean the interview with the creators on the not-yet-existing-but-very-soon-coming-and-certainly-shipping-in-December-Bonus-DVD

People, people, people! There is commentary. You just have to know where to find it.

Fine print: There is no commentary.
