how to go about cancelling the AU order?

I just want to make sure that I am approaching this whole AU-order cancellation process properly since there seem to be a lot of problems with this. I have:

1) called and faxed a letter to my credit card company detailing the failure of AU to deliver the promised merchandise by several designated deadlines, thus prompting me to cancel the order, and the fact that I was double-billed

2) submitted the drygrass.com dispute forms regarding the double-billing and the cancellation of my order

3) e-mailed Ross at AnotherUniverse.com to inform him of the overcharge, my cancellation, AND my overall frustration at the ineptitude of AU

4) called the 1-888-COMICS number to inform them of my desire to cancel the order

If anybody else has any other tips as to the most effective and quick means of getting my order cancelled and refunded, I am ALL EARS (or eyes, if you want to get technical about it ;-). Particularly as an American student studying overseas, I'm having to beg my family back at home to take care of making the phone calls, faxes, etc. to these American companies and I'd like to make this process as quick and painless as possible for them. If there is anything else I should do to address this issue, please let me know! THANK YOU.

sounds like you covered all the bases.especially reporting this to your creditcard company.
but honestly,i dont think there is a fast and painless way of cancelling and getting refunded.so you will be owing your family bigtime for helping you out with phone calls etc.

That covers just about everything with cancelling. Unfortunately, the only way you'll get your money back is if your creditcard company does a charge back. The outlook is good if you used an actual credit card, bad if you used a check/debit card.
