A SONG ABOUT THE MSCL DVDS

Post by pgh kenny » Oct 20th 2002, 11:03 pm

My wife and I have recorded a short song about AU's failures surrounding the release of the DVD set.

Please check it out.

P.S. As blueone noted below, the vocals are easier to hear in Mix #2.  Thanks blueone.

When this thread came up the first time, I thought, "Oh God, this is going to be extremely embarrassing. No matter what anyone does, I'm going to very uncomfortable while I listen to it. I really, really hope no one actually records one." But lo and behold, yours wasn't embarrassing! I actually enjoyed it! Congratulations! :D
so says Sparx.

Nice song.

I did notice something a while ago. Is it me or does your wife look familiar?

(For a while I thought you had faked the pic to begin with, until you said it was definitely your wife.) Hope you don't mind me messing with your avatar.

awesome :)

I noticed that in the second mix it was much easier to pick up the lyrics so if anyone only downloaded the first mix they should try the second too.

For a good part of today, your revision of my wife really disturbed me.... however, it is pretty funny!  My wife says it is funny, too.

For those collecting our attempts at levity, I offer the following. (First, get Pink Floyd's "Hey You" going in your head. Got it? Okay, then move on.)

AU
They killed my favorite show, I really liked it don't you know
Can you help me?
AU
I'd really like to see My So-Called Life on DVD
Can you help me?
AU
I'll give you the money up front! Oh, oh.
AU
Hey, thanks a bunch.

AU
I don't mean to be rash, but I am missing twice the cash
That I paid you
AU
You charged my VISA twice, I was surprised--it wasn't nice
Won't you help me?
AU
Computers can make weird mistakes. Oh, oh.
AU
Do what it takes.

AU
Are you out there? Have you heard? We think you're giving us the bird
Are you shipping?
AU
The set's on Amazon--it's cheaper too, I think I want
Just to cancel.
AU
Please send me my refund to da-a-ay.
AU
It's the only way... Hello? Hello?

Howard,

Brilliant! Right down to the same syllables. Weird Al has new competition.
