Status of DVD Production

I received an email asking me to clarify something here, and I will oblige. They have been discussing this DVD project here:

http://ragingbull.lycos.com/mboard/boar ... board=CMIH

BMG is still finishing the DVDs. There was a slipcase error, which might have tacked a few days onto production.

However, BMG is still waiting for payment, and if it is not received, the discs created for Another Universe will be given to other retailers first.

I believe that I have been saying this all along. However, I want the people who have written to me from the investors' board that I have nothing against them.

That is indeed 100% exactly what you've said all along. Moreover, you've never, EVER told any of us what to do specifically...just advised us to do what's right for us. You have advised us on timelines and suggested deadlines, but never "forced" anyone to do anything. Not by intimidation or by other forms of coercesion.

You've been over here, telling us the facts all along. Your motivation seems straightforward: responsibility to the people (consumers) you "got into this mess" by hooking them up with this outfit called AU. You've never pulled a single punch, and we appreciate that!

I haven't gone through that board - stock stuff ain't my bag - but if those guys don't appreciate the honest facts, then don't worry with them. It's their money. You say you've filled them in; I guess from this post and another they aren't willing to listen to you. Maybe they feel foolish for being on the hook for their investment; who knows?

Wasn't this slipcase error the excuse we got last month? It certainly doesn't account for the additional delays. It seems that every problem from the past is being used to justify time being wasted getting these discs released.

I don't understand how BMG could not be paid yet, since we were told in March that the reason we needed to pay in full was that BMG wanted full payment in advance. We were also told that AU couldn't carry the credit card authorisations, which was obviously false as well with double charges coming a great deal later than people's original charges.

Actually, what they said was true, you can't hold a credit card authorisation for months without it becoming void. The reason there are double and treble charges months later was due to a new and totally separate transaction being put through (whehter by accident or on purpose, I can't say).
