I'm a poor miss guided Englishman

Firstly I must apologies to all those hardcore MSCLers out there; I gave up on the quest for the holy grail that was the re-release of MSCL, a long time ago. After many hours spent trawling the internet, car boot sales, and second hand shops, and after having more money that I'd like to admit being coned out of me, I grew cynical, and began to think that I would never have the chance to own this once ground breaking TV programme. However I now find that I've stumbled into a whirl-wind of controversy, and have to admit that I now feel like I've arrived two years late to my own prom. So now I throw myself at the mercy of you fine people, in order that I can figure out just what has been going on in my absence. I’m of the understanding that MSCL is to be released on DVD, which undoubtedly is a good thing, however there seems to be a number of different versions/deals available, Amazon is selling it for $67, AU for $115, and Ventura Distribution $89. Now frankly I can do without the lunch box, so that puts it to being between Amazon and Ventura Distribution, and so I would be grateful to know why one is worth $12 more than the other. Furthermore the Amazon version claims to be a Region 1 DVD, all well and good if you’re American but not so good if you live elsewhere, where as the AU website claims its DVD is region 0, which is great for all us Brits. Therefore I even more grateful if some would could explain, which if either is true, and that if I invest my hard earnt money in a DVD that I'll get something watchable. I realise that all these questions have undoubtedly been answered in previous postings, and that such repetition will only serve to annoy those who have, unlike myself, been faithful to the cause all these long years. However being only a poor miss guided, and rather simple Englishman, hoping for the simple satisfaction of ending my long search, I would be extremely grateful if someone could take pity on me, and point me in the right direction. Also remember that every rose has a thorn, every night has its dawn, and every cowboy sings a sad sad song.
