bonus disc lending library?

OK, I just canceled my order with AU so I won't be seeing the bonus disc anytime soon. (Oh wait, neither will anyone else... but I digress.)

I'd be interested in knowing if one or more people who are holding out for the bonus disc with AU would be willing to eventually share it with Amazon.com buyers after a while. I mean since it is the kind of thing that most people only want to see once, maybe we could set up a system where we can pass them around and return them to the original owners. (I'm not talking about copying the disc... merely mailing an official bonus disc from one person to the next for viewing.) I for one would like to see the bonus material, but it's personally not worth contributing one penny to AU's pockets to do so.

It's just an idea--and there may not even be bonus discs to share--but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Sure thing

Once I have watched it, I would be happy to send it to you for your viewing pleasure. Patiently waiting.......

Yeah, but no one should copy it. You wouldn't want to steal from AU. :P

I don't expect the bonus disc to ever be made. AU doesn't have any MTV footage. They don't have any National Museum of Radio and TV History footage. All they have is the interviews Dan did that will probably now never see the light of day.

Does anyone know if Dan has a copy of the interviews he did? I'm not really clear on who owns them exactly....

I'm wondering if he might be able to make clips available here at mscl.com or something. 'Cause I don't think AU will come through.

Once I would've been perfectly happy just to have the episodes on DVD, but after being promised all this bonus material it's incredibly disappointing to think we'll probably never see it.

In the event that AU does not come through (and let's face it, it's looking like this is the case), I will try to find out if Dan has the video and I will try to get permission from Bedford Falls to release it. I'd have to find someone to replicate the interview, but I'd do it for free (or at cost of replication) without any packaging.

Thanks in advance for trying Jason. I'd feel perfectly safe paying you. :) But I know the bonus disc's a lesser concern and you've got enough to worry about...don't mean to put even more pressure on you!

If it's less than an hour of video, why not just encode it and put it up on kazaa or some other p2p system. The reason I say <1hr is because that can fit onto a CD rather than a DVD with good quality.
