Re: Pictures

I feel the same way-- I joined last year and this forum appears to have been a lot more active previously. Sometimes you don't get responses for what you post immediately, but you do months after, and that is still pretty nice cause people have meaningful things to say. And yeah, there's lots of awe...

Re: Discussion for Episode 15: So-Called Angels

On the Patty and Graham not handling the Rickie situation well: I really hope that if I were a parent, I wouldn't handle the situation like they did. But I think their reaction helps emphasize the contrast/conflict between families of different social classes, so that this conflict can be resolved m...

Re: what other characters would you have wanted to narrate?

Hm, apparently I'm forgetting what exactly Tony Poole was like. I think there was an episode where Patty was telling Angela (?) about him? But I forgot what exactly she said. I think she said that he was a crazy driver? And yes, I didn't mean that Graham is more like Jordan than he is like Brian, I ...

Re: what other characters would you have wanted to narrate?

Definitely not Kyle. But I'm not sure about Patty either-- I'm not anti-Patti at all, to an extent because I'm like her in some ways, but I think we kind of get a lot of her inner world anyway. But yes, Graham, and Jordan, clearly :P Which makes me wonder-- would Jordan be the same sort of parent th...

Re: Afraid to watch the last episode!

I'm 26, and the friends I've shown it to are of comparable age. I guess MSCL is a "teen drama" according to Wikipedia, but since I think it's a lot more than that, I don't think you need to be young to like it :) But maybe it helps ;)

Re: Afraid to watch the last episode!

That sounds like a good plan! Have fun with your second viewing :) And yeah, the ways in which this show affects people are quite amazing... I've been showing it to my friends and I have not yet found anyone who disliked it, not even among people who I didn't quite expect to like it. Even those who ...

Re: Afraid to watch the last episode!

Hi Mutajon, I believe we all know how you feel. I do the same thing with all shows I like (leave the last episode unwatched). But you can always watch the show again, and believe me, you'll discover new things every time. So it's not like this show will be dead once you've seen all epsiodes. Also, i...

Haha, someone should send this recap to Leto, I'm sure he'll be *thrilled*... or not ;)

Which song did this person sing?

Re: Discussion for Episode 14: On the Wagon

I read this whole thread (or skimmed), and unless I missed it, no one brought up the following idea, which seemed really prominent to me when I first watched this episode. What if Angela didn't want to help Rayanne get in the band because somewhere in the back of her mind, she was afraid that Rayann...

Re: I understand "Pressure"

Welcome to this forum, myso-calledlove :) I really like the points you made. I see Jordan's actions in this episode as a lot less asshole-ish than a lot of people, I think. And regarding the termination of their relationship-- I think you might be right, maybe Jordan had no intention to break up wit...

Re: OCTOBER ROAD

Maybe the kinks would have been worked out, or maybe its awesomeness would have gotten "diluted" somehow, who knows. It's always scary to think of how something nearly perfect could have continued... I agree that the writing was slightly cheesy at times, but I thought the acting was quite good for t...

Okay, I take it back!

October Road is officially my second favorite show of all time. (And I'll miss it so much!)

(I thought I'd let everyone know :))

Re: OCTOBER ROAD

(Trying hard not to read the post immediately above cause there might be a spoiler in it!) So I started watching this show, and I'm almost half-way through the second season. I really liked it at first, and I'm possibly even partially addicted to it. However, I see some weaknesses. Some plot element...

Re: Tom Irwin on Castle (2011)

Haha, I didn't know what Nathan Fillion was up to these days :) I think the role suits him.

I found the show on Hulu and skipped to Tom Irwin's appearances, but I also thought this seemed like a pretty good show that I might watch later on. Thanks Natasha :)
