Pittsburgh is 34. There haven't been a Republican mayor in Pittsburgh in over 70 years. We don't even have elections here anymore, the Democrats, just decide who is going to get what office. No wonder the city is running itself into the ground. I have to say, I'm not a Republican, but the people of...

Re: Protests at soliders funerals

Ack! This is so wrong on so many levels. Also please note that these aren't lefties, Democrats, Liberals or peace activists doing this. -LanceMan I've seen quite a few lefties protesting funerals on the news. I don't care what you are protesting, you shouldn't protest at a funeral. I blame the medi...

The Democrats have promised a national health care plan or health care reform in 92,96,2000 and 2004. Surely Hillary Clinton will promise one in 08. I wonder how many years they are going to run on that platform? I'm not a Republican, so I'm not just putting down the rats here, but a national healt...

Gah, Emmie, that is terrible. It makes renting in London sound like a dream: you pay a month's rent (or six weeks if the landlord is particularly twitchy) as a deposit and then a month's rent in advance. I did have to show bank statements with an income or an amount, but it certainly wasn't a multi...

Re: It's been a long time!

Hi, everyone! I haven't been here in forever, it seems. I just wanted to see how everyone was doing. I am doing really well. I am pregnant with twin girls. :D We are so happy and just trying to get everything ready before they arrive in November. How is everyone else doing? Did I miss anything good...

So far this summer... X-Men 3 and Inconvienant Truth were both excellent. Recommend both. Saw Kinky Boots a week ago. The best movie I have seen this year. Hands down. Didn't really think much going but was very surprised. Dealt with alienation, loss, acceptance and gender relations in a profound ye...

Hi Lance What did you think of Brick? It's coming to my local cinema soon and I'm trying to decide whether to spend the time/money. It has had great reviews in the press here, although one reviewer apparently felt it was a little bit pretentious with the 'street' dialogue. And Tsotsi is on my list....

Hey,

Apparently Sci Fi has already ordered 11 episodes to follow the pilot. Nicholas Cage is producing and is a big fan. More news to follow.
