Re: Just another obsessed fan?

Welcome Umbrello! As much as I enjoy rewatching the series, I cannot possibly express how jealous I am that you just got to do it for the first time. Although I've come to appreciate MSCL even more over the years, there is nothing quite like experiencing it for the first time. You'll know what I'm t...

Re: New Rayanne FanFic in Progress

Cami, The Rickie story line is good - it is something I am sure the series would have continued to explore in a second season. Keep running with it. . .you may be surprised with where it takes you! You've portrayed him true to character in that he is someone who needs help but is reluctant to take i...

Re: New Rayanne FanFic in Progress

Hey Cami! I just finished reading all 20 chapters of Between Names. Unfortunately, I don't have a detailed review for you at the moment, but if I have time I will definitely put one together at some point. Your story and your writing get stronger as you move from one chapter to the next. There are m...

Re: "Gestation": New Raynie & Ensemble Fanfic

Nice start, Cami! The first installment is obviously short, but it goes a long way towards setting the scene and the tone of the piece. Here are a few of my thoughts: 1. "He had even managed to harvest a thin, but distinguished mustache, which he wore with great pride." I'd change "harvest" to "cult...

Re: What are Lifer's watching these days?

Alright, I have to admit I loved the new Battlestar Galactica series. It was impressively well done and had brilliant music, amazing characters, and some terrific performances. Edward James Olmos and James Callis particularly stood out to me. Time will tell if the new Caprica spin-off will be as good.

Re: The So-Called Word Association

Thanks, NoTom! I figured that was it, but it's nice to have some confirmation. Very clever clue! As for "Bisque" - that had me going for a while as well. I kept assuming that it came from an episode where Grant was cooking something or was in cooking class. Nope! I finally found it, though. He and H...

Re: Sharon and Brian

I was always called by my last name in high school. Of course, it might have had something to do with the fact that I have a twin brother and noone could tell us apart. . . Funny thing is, people in college called me by my last name, too - even if they had never met my brother or knew I had one. <en...

Re: Zwick/Herskovitz: "A Marriage" for CBS

Thanks for posting. Whenever these two put their heads together they seem to come up with something excellent. I wish them luck and hope CBS picks it up; I'd love to see more of their work on television.

Tom Irwin on 24 (2009)

Tom Irwin joined Devon Gummersall as former MSCL actors who appeared on 24 (Devon played Mark Hauser in one episode of 24's 6th season). Tom portrayed a manager of a chemical plant which was attacked by terrorists. His character's actions saved thousands of lives and earned him an heroic, albeit pai...

Re: The So-Called Word Association

Throwing copper This one has had me stumped for months! I tried to come up with all sorts of things; for a while I thought I was on to something when I translated "throwing copper" into "pitching pennies". I kept trying to find a scene in which kids were playing that game in the background but I was...

Welcome, Elsie! I can't tell you how jealous I am of your seeing the show for the first time through the eyes of a teenager years after it first aired. I was a few years older than you when I first saw MSCL and it was love at first sight. I love it even more these days, but nothing is quite the same...

Alright, I'll check it out over there and leave some comments. I'm about to leave on vacation, so it will be awhile before I get a chance. In the meantime, keep 'em coming! :)

Just letting you guys know that, another three installments have been posted on DRtv . As well as two more entries to "The Secret Diary Of Sharon Cherski, Aged 15 1/4" . I plan to round out June by posting two more chapters. Haven't been getting a whole ton of feedback as of late, so I'd very much ...

Re: Barack the Vote?

Well, if the Clinton's did prop up Obama's candidacy (and this site is the only place where I've seen any mention of that) it certainly backfired in a big way. In the interest of full disclosure, I was actually a Biden supporter until he dropped out. I really liked Wesley Clark in '04 and there has ...
