Ross is not going to refund the money at all. That's the plan. After all, why should he when there seems to be no way to force him to.

I actually wish people hadn't started doing this. It's given AU an excuse to delay processing the cancellations those of us who have made our minds up and don't plan on changing. Grrr. Um... you do realize that they will never refund the money, right? BTW, I'm one of the two who said he woul...

Re: New Low Price!!!

I don't know anything about this site, so I cannot vouch for it. I have no idea how they are charging that amount because, on the surface, and after shipping, they must lose money at that price. So just keep your eyes open. I just checked DVD Price Search and the new low price for the box set is at...

Uncancelling your order?

Now that it appears that Ross will have the discs to ship, how many of you who cancelled are going to uncancel? Since it's obvious that I will never get my money back, I probably will (damn you , Ross).

My sentiments concerning the article can be summed up in one sentence:

Ross should thank Derek Miner for the free publicity, and the net increase in orders that will result from it.

Mark, that's an easy question. They keep their accounts empty. WHen they would bounce a check to me, they would follow it up with a wire from Leslie's private account. I guess they keep money in employees' accounts. That is why the court cannot garnish their accounts. They are empty. Hmmm... I bet ...

The survey specifically says that chargebacks don't count. The last time I called AU, they stated that there was a note on my record that I had contested the charge with my bank. I believe that AU has taken the position that once the charges are contested, they are no longer responsible for refundi...

Here's how I see things and my situation: 1) AU has no intention of refunding my money, EVER!!! 2) I cancelled my order on Oct. 14th 3) When I hear people posting that they've received their discs from AU safe and sound, I will swallow my pride and uncancel my order. Before I do so, I will cancel my...

That covers just about everything with cancelling. Unfortunately, the only way you'll get your money back is if your creditcard company does a charge back. The outlook is good if you used an actual credit card, bad if you used a check/debit card.

Re: amex

My inbox indicates that this may not have been an isolated incident. So much for "fixing the cause of the double charges." This just keeps getting better and better. Not only do we have to contend with getting our money back from cancellations, but now we have to worry about getting double/t...

Of course, they just hit the "charge" button instead of the "refund" button, TWICE

OK, how many people still believe that this is just a problem with AU's "shopping cart" ? I guess with all the shipping he need to do, Ross needs a little extra money. Or perhaps this is punishment for cancelling your order. Oh well, it's not like we can do anything to stop it. Authorize.net has giv...

Re: I might be preachin' to the choir...

I know lots of folks are sticking with AU - the most awful reason, in my book, being that they think they'll never be refunded if they cancel - and are still awaiting the disks and extras. But I gotta wonder, given the colossal f*ck up that has been Another Universe so far, how much ya wanna bet th...
