Re: OCTOBER ROAD

You're right. They've taken the October Road episodes down now, so you may need to rent or purchase the DVDs. I own the DVDs. Trust me, it's worth it! You can find them for about $20 used per season on Amazon. The site where I usually watch tv seems to be down at the moment, but I usually go to watc...

Re: Angela's Journal...good idea or bad?

I don't think there is anything against continuing to post your story in here, but you might want to start a new thread with a proper title...

I love the new entry, and the alternating between Angela and Brian idea!! Good rhythm to this one.

Re: Songs that remind you of MSCL?

Perfect song for Rickie, guys! "Lost Children" by Michael Jackson. I LOVE Michael Jackson. I love his attitude towards the life and the world too. This song is so cute! It reminded me of Rickie instantly. I think it's fairly obvious how.

Re: Angela's Journal...good idea or bad?

Great! I'd wondered if you were going to come back to this! I'm glad you've started reading my story, and I can't wait to read more of yours...assuming you will continue it. As for titles, I find it really fun to use some MSCL reference in the title. For example, you could use "My Own Prison"...from...

Re: New Rayanne FanFic in Progress

I'm a full time college student. This is my last year - I'm getting my bachelors in Business Administration either in April or June. During the summer I spend a lot of time with friends so I don't get much time to write. During the academic year, I'm by myself a lot, as I go to school 6 hours from h...

Re: New Rayanne FanFic in Progress

Brunkster! I'm so glad to hear that you've finished Between Names, and very flattered by your enthusiasm over it! I do plan to continue it to a definite end - a complete story. I will probably start writing again in October, when I've got more time. At times I feel like my earlier chapters were bett...

Re: OCTOBER ROAD

4alifetime, I remember there being a few months where no episode of LOM aired, and then it came back at a new time. I'm not sure when because I watch all my TV online. It was a good show, but I guess since it got cancelled they rushed to wrap everything up and provide answers. And their solution to ...

Re: OCTOBER ROAD

4alifetime, Hi! I'm glad you liked the pilot of October Road. It's definitely worth watching the entire series. I think the reason why it didn't do so well is because it's not fast paced or flashy like most shows these days. For some stupid reason, that seems to be what people want to see now: racey...

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

I highly recommend anything by Toni Morrison or Jacqueline Woodson. My favorites are "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison and "Autobiography of a Family Photo" by Jacqueline Woodson. Also, the Harry Potter series is magnificent! Such imagination! And "Wicked: The Life and Times of The Wicked Witch Of T...

Re: What's on your bookshelf?

I'm currently listening to "The Bluest Eye" audiobook. I read the actual book, by Toni Morrison, back in middle school. The audiobook is actually read by Toni Morrison, too! It's a really good book. I suggest reading or listening to it! Great social commentary...

Tish,

No. "sliding downhill" is not from the conversation about Delia's dream.

Hint: The conversation that contains it does take place at Liberty High.

Re: fave mj songs

I actually just started a topic on Michael Jackson, and I'm sure someone will link the two threads together eventually. I'm so sad he's gone! I was never into Michael growing up, I wasn't born yet when Thriller came out in in 82 (?). But in the last 4 or 5 years he has became my favorite artist. He ...

Is there anything in particular you'd like to see happen with any of the characters in the setting I've establised? I'd love to entertain some of your ideas.

Re: Michael Jackson's Gone....

Thanks for sharing, man. May he rest in peace. Speaking of MJ, I remember someone mentioning seeing a MJ poster in Rickie's locker at one point. Does anyone know if that's true, and in which episode it occured. I can definitely imagine Rickie loving Michael's music and his "save the children" attitu...
